Sadly, that was also close to it's condition. Damn book wasn't even bagged&boarded....heathens! I'm flashing back to that Mallrats scene.

Just when I think I'm almost ready to stop collecting comics, I get reeled back in. I bumped into a friend (Dave) who owned a antique collectable store back in the 80's & 90's. He just sold his house & was in the process of moving. He told me he hadn't packed his left over comics yet & if I was interested, I could drop by today and go through them. The prices varied from 25 cents to $2 per book. This is what I ended up getting.

good deal or not?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0250672984

All I know is that I don't have them, so the price sounded fair to me. If I got jacked, let me know.

When the difference between an awful price and a great price is less than $10, I don't think you have to worry much.

Well, I guess what I was wondering was if this set is super rare and worth a crapload of money or as common as a Bloodshot #1. Probably somewhere in the middle. :?

It hasn't been a super-valuable item in the past,
but they have been $10 to $20 for the set
for as far back as I can remember.

A cool item, to be sure... definitely worth $2 a card. :thumb:

Remember, Acclaim books basically used to be worthless...
so you never know what will catch fire in the future.

I don't know what these go for usually, though I am guessing they are not a super rare item, or they would be more well known.

I guess my point is that even if this wasn't a great price, it is still such a low price that it can't be a bad price.

Sold 2 long boxes and 2 short boxes (none of them very full at all) full of quarter bin fodder to a guy at a garage sale for $150. :thumb:

The boxes went with the comics in the deal. :|
