WTB 1% "gold edition"

Post by slack »

I know it's not the same as the other gold books... But I want it to go with my other gold books.

Who's got one for me?

That's why I'm asking here. I haven't seen one around in a long time.

It's a beautiful book, that is very condition sensitive, especially with fingerprints. I tried to get a high grade copy when it came out, and it was very difficult. I have only 1 copy, which is NM-.

It was a 1:30 variant for Archer & Armstrong: The One Percent... not a "gold edition" from the regular style gold program, but it was "gold" because it was the 1% from the storyline.

I'm submitting mine to CGC and they've listed it as "gold edition" when I know it's a 1:30 "way too gold". I seen they had the option for gold edition, so I added my own as Way Too Gold by Juan Doe. I'll see what happens?

We should have a thread that has a dedicated list of the HTF Valiant Fad books of the moment. I'm not downplaying the collectibility or desirability of any of these books, but a fad is a fad. Shadowman Black was a big book to pop a couple of years back, but eventually people moved on from the hunt of that one over to say, the Rai mask variant (was it with scissors or without? I don't recall...). I think the Archer & Armstrong Adams variant was pretty big for a while... books like that.

I'd like to say a list like that since the new VU's inception. It'd probably only be... what? 10 to 15 books? Maybe?
