David Lapham auctioning Harbinger 1 pages
I just received this email...
Hello, all. A bunch of you have been e-mailing me about the Harbinger #1 pages I've been holding on to. The fairest thing I can think to do on this is to put the pages up on eBay individually. I have a couple of pages going up tonight of American Splendor and some other stuff, but in the next day or two I'll put up a few of the Harbys and we'll see how it goes.
Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
David

Oh, yeah, there's no way.siren3-4 wrote:How interested in this are you ? Don't know if you do the Original Art thing . . . but I would think these reach Grail status for you . . .ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Who is David Lapham....?
I'd be happy with the scraps, but I don't stand a chance on anything else...
But, yeah...I don't use the whole "Grail" terminology, cause there's really only ONE Grail (if it even exists), and applying it to a pop culture item produced within the last 70 years hardly comes close, and I think a lot of geeky fanboys throw the word around FAR too cavalierly (ok, I'll buy its use for Action #1, or Tec #27, or MC #1....but Hulk #181? Fo real?), which always makes me roll my eyes...even still, they're definitely "up there" in terms of desirability for me.
If I was a millionaire.....

I don't use the Grail term very often myself . . . but I think it fits here . . .ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Oh, yeah, there's no way.siren3-4 wrote:How interested in this are you ? You know what odd little factoid I found out recently about the Japanese...?Jay Tomio wrote:So the letting me hold them to start a new religion idea didn't fly I guess. *sighs* Bowing down to corporate master again - Luckily I'm half-Japanese.
They suffer from palmer hyperhidrosis (sweaty palms) at a rate 10 times the rest of the world....
...which has led some to theorize that's why bowing became prominent as a means of greeting...because of social concern over sweaty palms.
Weird, huh?
I also found out that, when someone is about to fart, a common utterance is "listen, listen, a little tulip!"
I love the Japanese. They're so cool.

Japanese/hispanic? Which one, may I ask?Jay Tomio wrote:This is why I was created as a hybrid. The Japanese is in me to insure standard of living and the hispanic blood - just in case I may have to cut somebody one day. The sweat palms would have made me less adroit with my razor. No, no, not YOU....your PARENTS.Jay Tomio wrote:No, actually the opposite, I'm the youngest, the favorite, and likely heir on both sides.
Japanese and Puerto Rican cultures are FIERCELY strong...and quite foreign to one another (as you know better than anyone, I'm just saying it for the benefit of the board. )
So both sets of grandparetns approved of the union....?
That's amazing!
