Guess it means I agree that 9.8 may not be what it used to be, and the gap between 9.8 numbers and 9.6 numbers are less far apart for this issue. So this price is good, even though maybe still be higher than it may be in a not very distant future, and that with those two sigs on it I still want to own it !!!

Wasn't me, though I did strongly consider it. I was contacted by a VEI artist about some pencil & ink which negated the possibility of funding this buy. Bad timing.

Congrats to whoever DID get it, as there are VERY FEW.

Wasn't it ended early by the seller? I think it's unknown if he made a side deal or still has it.

Yeah, it is unknown if it sold or was just kept.
Have you tried emailing the seller? Tell him you'll offer double!

I was kind of hoping ZWH would buy it back and list it for $1100, keep re-listing it until it's sold in 5 years.

If you're the winner, do you mind sharing how much you paid for it so I can record it in the log? Thanks.

It's been awhile since one of these was sold auction style on eBay. For some time there was one or two sold in this manner every week. No one is biting on the lowest BIN at 395.00, though. Sooner or later we have to see some movement on this book.

We did, and it did.

$OLD! with BIN of $395 (FREE s/h, too!):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harbinger-1-CGC ... true&rt=nc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Trippy thing is, it also had an "Or Best Offer" option, but the buyer chose to go ahead and pop for that price. Trippy, because one: they didn't even attempt a lower offer. More so, because two: there are still two others listed with that same BIN (but no OrBestOffer):

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harbinger-1992- ... 48652f5942" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Harbinger-1992- ... 1e8a38f7e1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

(***Both of the above listing are from mycomicshop. Of note is both books are from the same CGC submittal group; consecutively-graded. Impressive.)

That one that sold for 395.00 was recently listed. You're right, I'm sure the buyer could have picked that up for a bit less.
Mycomicshop now has 3 copies listed, 2 at 395.00 and one at 407.00.

I no longer have the time to track each eBay auction. If someone else wants to take the lead in this thread, please feel free to do so. Also there aren't that many new completed sales and the listings are mostly the same ones that keep recurring.

:o Wow!

Still admire how you were able to keep track of all this.

Well, I supposed we could now start a thread called:

Solar #10 CGC 9.8s on eBay (past and current auctions)

or

Archer & Armstrong #0 Gold CGC 9.8's on eBay (past and current auctions)

Be easier to track, and possibly less depressing. :?

I also want to thank Iggy for creating this history. We should definitely continue it.

I'd suggest moving to tracking sales only and refraining from formally tracking unsold listings. While it's wonderful to have that record, I'm not sure the effort is worth the reward. It should cut down on the effort.

Perhaps we can "crowdsource" it? If I was doing any regular eBay buying I would volunteer, but I am not. Still there must be a number of board members with saved eBay searches that turn up H1 CGC 9.8 listings.

Yeah, really cool of you to maintain this so long Iggy! :clap:

I would volunteer to help with this, but to be blunt I know I will forget and slack off. :P
Where are we going and why am I in this hand-basket?

Iggy did a great job with this thread! :clap:

If we are interested in sales only, I will have a page on the new website soon that will take care of this.

George Pantela of GPAnalysis.com has provided me with Valiant sales records that I've been working to incorporate into the website for some time.

I'm confident we can make use of his generosity the way we've all enjoyed Iggy's generous work. :thumb:
