I know virtually nothing about these. Anyone have comments on the availability of them, or even their history? Thanks.

Planet made a bunch of them. Many of them were solicited in Previews by Diamond.

Some are very limited. Planet made the gold pins and Chaos Effect pin in much smaller numbers.

More recently, an old boardie (I think it was KC collectibles) contacted Planet and bought out their inventory. I think that was about 5 years ago now. He didn't have much trouble selling them, and that's where I got all my gold pins.

Somehow Architect/Justin ended up with all the Acclaim Comics/Valiant Heroes split pins and the shadowman bottle openers. I bought a couple dozen sets from him and was selling them and throwing them in as freebies for while. I only have a few pin sets left. The openers are long gone.

I think $5 each for the regular pins is fair. Some come up more than others. The later the release, the less there probably are. I have some extras that I was selling a few years ago.

I think Greg has a pin page. I'm too lazy to look.
