Unity Red CGC 9.8 for sale
Hello to all!
As much as it bothers me, the drawn out economic challenges have gotten me to the point where I need to let go of some of my "treasures" in order to bring in some much needed money. Some of you don't know me and I dare say some don't remember me but at one time I was a fairly reputable seller and buyer of Valiant stuff here on Greg's boards. As a small bit of proof I offer this link to a high dollar sale from years back.
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10088&hilit=Unity+red&start=25" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have a Beautiful copy of Unity Red 0 graded 9.8 by CGC that has always been one of my "grail" books, and selling it makes sense to me as it hopefully will bring the most "bang for the buck" and result in the least damage to my collection. Here are some photos

Assuming I'm not breaking any new rules that Im not aware of, I'd like to have a board auction here rather than put it on eBay as it saves me the crazy fees and ensures that the book will go to someone who will enjoy owning it as much as I do (and honestly I've always enjoyed board auctions as they are fun for me) I'll take offers until Thursday at 9:30 pm and I'll update the latest high bid as often as possible. Feel free to pm me with any and all questions. The link above, and the associated thread, hopefully proves that I'm not exactly a stranger, and maybe there are some old acquaintances who will vouch for my respectability (all be it old) as a collector and seller here on the boards. I'm trying to sell it here with no reserve so I can at least be fairly certain that it's going to a good home......... (and hopefully break even on it..)
Now can anyone remind me how to post a photo for free!!??
I'll post a photo as soon as I remember how. Hahahaha! Gif files are available on demand of course!!

Sign up with a photo hosting site like photobucket, upload the pic from your comp to the hosting site. Highlight the link they give you, copy it then paste in a post. Make sure the link is still highlighted (or highlight it again if not) and click the Img button you see at the top of this dialogue box. It will be on the far right next to the URL button. Hit submit and you should be set.Valiant OCD wrote:Hello to all!

Thanks Daniel. I'm wrestling with that as we speak. It seems that photo bucket is flash dependent, but I will figure it out!! Thanks again

You might give Imageshack a try if your having problems with Photobucket. I think it's interface is a little easier to use.Valiant OCD wrote:Thanks Daniel. I'm wrestling with that as we speak. It seems that photo bucket is flash dependent, but I will figure it out!! Thanks again

You're absolutely right; that is one beautiful 9.8 slabbed copy
.
I haven't seen any updates on the highest bid yet; have you honestly not received any
? If you have, please let us know where it sits...so I know where to bump the bid from
.
Lastly, your Thursday evening cut-off is in what time zone? EST? CST? PST? Please LMK on that, 'cuz that DO make a difference!

Re: Unity Red CGC 9.8 for sale
I honestly have not received any offers yet. I'm really hoping the holiday weekend and the late addition of photos is the reason. PM me if you'd like Bloodshot. I'm having a nostalgic day going through my collection while the kids are out with mom. She may have been right back then... Maybe I did have a problem
, I mean how many copies of MRF #1 does a guy need!!?
Anyway, bid away, I'll keep things updated here.
Thanks for the interest.
Sean

Re: Unity Red CGC 9.8 for sale
After a long conversation with my wife, it's become apparent that I need to sell more than one book. I have a number of CGC books including a bunch of duplicates that I'll be posting very soon (assuming that I'm not breaking any rules here on the boards that I'm not aware of. I've searched but I can't find any new ones...) I know I have a couple copies of MGF #0 CGCed at 9.8 and XO #1 in the same grade. Stay tuned and thanks for looking.Squirrel wrote:any other CGC's you getting rid of?

Actually, I did do that. However, some people (especially ones that haven't posted for quite some time) don't always update their current location. I'm not about to assume anything, especially if I want to drop a bid at the latest possible (acceptable) time. Just for the record, now that a bid has been sent, this book will sell. There will be no pulling of the sale because I think the bids are too low. However I am not too proud to say that at $90, I stand to take huge, long , bath........... Be that as it may, the sale is on! Bid early and often!! It's going to a new home no matter what. Why not yours?
