1st auction $306.76
2nd auction $260.00
3rd auction $610.00

I thought the last X-O Gold out of the 3 was going to end less than the 2nd auction. I was completely wrong.

Someone has very deep pockets.. Congratulations to the winner and for VEI on its Charity Auction. :thumb:

Where'd that negative feedback go? Also, considering the negative was over one of these, this might still only be the second one.

Since a negative was posted and now it's gone, a couple of things could've happened:
- the seller asked the buyer to revise the feedback (seems unlikely since I only see two feedbacks, one where Valiant was a buyer and one from the 1st gold book winner)
- Valiant asked ebay to review the feedback and opened a non-paying bidder case. Ebay found in Valiant's favor and removed the negative (this seems more likely)

So, if it's the latter, I'm betting they'll list another XO gold from the second failed transaction.

So the $610 bid was a combination of several things.

A) wanting to pick what I figured the third of three of these up
B) Knowing the money would go to charity
C) going to bed after a show way too late and waking up about five minutes before the auction ended
D) I recorded the voice for the QR variant cover and I figured this might be a decent (if idiotic) way to contact Valiant and say "right on"
E) I'm kinda like Rain Man in that any large-ish amount of money seems to equate in my head to "about a hundred dollars".
F) I'm a bit odd
G) Frogs

No, I had no business bidding that much, but I'll honor the bid and pay it.

So yeah... *cough*. Heh.

Heh. Now I just gotta track down a few more copies of the QR variant for friends/family (or maybe a graded copy for myself). My sister texts me every now and again asking "How is the voice of war this morning?"

It says he revised it on August 14th, so I guess Valiant worked things out.

I seriously give you mad props for spending $$$ on this book, even if the books aren't as rare now after the release.
For paying $$$, I was curious if Valiant made anything else special about the book.
Was there a VVSS or any signatures or Easter eggs that came with it?
