Wow! I've got a line on lot of 150 silver with keys (first hawkeye, capam 100, first silver red skull, Conan 1). Price is $2K though...
I haven't purchased a lot for some time. Slim pickings here.

Re: question about bulk buys...
Keep us posted!! I've missed out on a few other deals too, but there's only so much I can buy if I'm not turning the stuff over very quickly. At least the monthly show is giving me one outlet to sell, but at times I wonder if it's worth it....very, very time-consuming, but hopefully there is some light at the end of the tunnel and things will look better once I get to the point I've got everything to bring to the show.nycjadie wrote:Wow! GG, if you're selling any of the original run reprint issues please lmk. I'm pretty sure I need #67 and maybe 70 too...GGSAE wrote:Grabbed some nice books lately, a low grade 129 - but it’s complete and real cheap, great for my run. I might go back and grab the rest of his stuff for sale.
Last week nabbed a small box of stuff from a biker church that had a donation, paid $150 for a big run of Xmen. I’ve gone through the books and it looks like I have all but 5 of them, so I’ll probably package the run together and sell it on eBay.
The silver age are pretty beat up some are missing covers, but 14 is complete and I need that for my run! There were a stack of about ten books that I priced and added to my con boxes, and some fodder that went to the 50 cent boxes and some that went straight to recycling.

Re: question about bulk buys...
Well I scooped-up the rest of that bunch of comics where I got 129.
This is the ultimate Punisher Lot, it includes all issues Punisher appeared in, Moon Knight/ASM/SSM/Marvel Tales, etc (in some cases many multiples) as well as
1-50 series 1
1-30 War Journal
There’s a bunch of other good stuff too, more pics to follow.
Also the second pic included a stack of NM fliers and posters of the opening up a shop in 1990 that just closed down last year. I think it’s pretty neat and will probably hang them in my future comic room, which already highlights some Ottawa comicana.

Really weird Indy horror mags, never seen anything like it...I like picking up stuff like this, I can bring a short box of mature/obscure stuff to the shows...
And turtles of course which are quite popular.

Not then but he likes to hide in semi full longs...him or the other one chews plastic, a few times I’ve had some comics with the side completely frayed, lol.mkb28 wrote:Cool stuff! Was that cat hiding in the box?
So I’ve locked the door if I have more valuable comics out; this group is one of the main reasons I bought the lot (in addition to the nice runs).

Re: question about bulk buys...
Picked-up another small lot of around 170 books, it was a low risk $50 buy so I figured what the hell. The seller actually had two other very nicely-priced lots that I would have normally bought, but I’m being a bit more picky right now.
You see I’ve already priced the books, I’ve started doing that as I go through collections now during the bagging/boarding.

Re: question about bulk buys...
Just revamped my eBay profile; I will be activity listing new items now that the new year is here. The show I setup at is good for moving low-priced stuff but keys that are priced well do not see any action. Case in point I have maybe a dozen copies in VF-NM if the Punisher #1 (ongoing 1987). I priced a pretty sharp copy at $25 CAD and there’s been zero interest in the book. I price a slightly inferior NM- copy at 19.99 on eBay (shipping is $5) and it sold with a day. Maybe the other dealers are right people in this city are cheap lol.

Re: question about bulk buys...
Enough rambling. Comic Time! Just grabbed a pile of silver/gold, a huge chunk of stuff I didn’t want was included but it was a bulk deal and there was one book in it that made the buy.
This stuff is low grade, but my bulk rate made it feasible. Plus I got a small pile of Batman/Tec that are great placeholders.

Re: question about bulk buys...
The ASM was a nice surprise but I actually have that book so this one will be going up on eBay shortly! it’s too bad he didn’t have more of them, a few of these books weren’t even in the list he sent...

Re: question about bulk buys...
I don’t know if I like that approach of listing things for $1. If it’s store stock and didn’t sell, what’s gonna be in there? There’s probably some modern semi keys and gems here and there but I imagine that would be a very low percentage of the books. The hardcovers at $5 should sell well.corey wrote:possumgrease wrote:https://www.bleedingcool.com/2018/01/02 ... osed-2009/

I expect they’ll be dumping them at 2/$, then maybe even 3 or 4/$ if the auction is rolling and books aren’t selling. It would be great to checkout if you’re in the area - probably a feeding frenzy, punches and all! Lol
