STORE: The Art of Robert Gill
Not mine, but FYI: There are a LOT of PUBLISHED & UNPUBLISHED original Valiant covers in artist Robert Gill's store. It's not everyday you come across quality original covers for less than $200 USD.
Buying or not, you owe it to yourself to take a look at some interesting cover art in raw, uncolored format.

Also, sometimes you can luck out and an unpublished cover can turn into a published one.

Some of those unpublished covers are better than the ones they did publish. Who decides on what ones they use? Is it one person or a group effort?

I've got a commission from Robert Gill and it's one of my favorite pieces. I'll have to look into these. Thanks for sharing DBS!

I've bought a few pages from Robert and found them to be awesome and very well priced. You can't go wrong here.

Not asking for a formal legal opinion, but if I purchase original art, do I have the right to reproduce? I assume VEI would have that if the OA features a page from a published issue or featuring VEI characters, but what about, for example, the image of lady liberty being destroyed?

Nope you can't reproduce like making abunch of t-shirts.
Good way to get into trouble.
