Grading related questions
I have a few grading related questions and hope this is the right place to ask them:
1. I picked up a copy of the Bloodshot 31 Newsstand 2.50 edition. It's in pretty rough shape (lots of little marks along the spin and the top edge, though the rest of the book is pretty in tact). Is it something hard enough to find that someone might want it in that condition (this is not an offer to sell, just a question about whether the book is still sellable)?
2. I also picked up a copy of Quantum & Woody 1 (regular edition) that is VF-NM but it seems to have been signed by Greg Adams. Since there's no certificate of authenticity on the signature, how does this effect the value of the book?
Thanks

Re: Grading related questions
(1) Someone will want it, but it is unlikely you will get much for it.
(2) Someone will want that too, but the audience will be smaller than if the signature wasn't there, or authenticated. I buy unathenticated signatures all the time, but usually from people I know, or where I can tell the signature is authentic.

I agree with both answers.nycjadie wrote:(1) Someone will want it, but it is unlikely you will get much for it.

Thanks. I figured as much on both. I was kind of bummed when I found the signature, though I'm betting the signature is authentic since who is going to go to the trouble to forge the signature of an inker.

Right, it is most likely authentic.pjar wrote:Thanks. I figured as much on both. I was kind of bummed when I found the signature, though I'm betting the signature is authentic since who is going to go to the trouble to forge the signature of an inker.

I feel that way about most signatures. Only a handful command high prices.pjar wrote:Thanks. I figured as much on both. I was kind of bummed when I found the signature, though I'm betting the signature is authentic since who is going to go to the trouble to forge the signature of an inker.
