Re: Florida Super Con
Just pulled multiple NM complete sets of Harbinger Wars and Doctor Mirage, along with about 15 Harbinger 1s and a few different variant covers from a freaking quarter box.

Re: Florida Super Con
Since this is Miami Beach and nobody has any *SQUEE* manners some guy tried to move me from in front of a box because I was taking too long.
Good luck with that! I spread out and took his space too and he went around to the other side.

Sent my wife this picture just so she could ask "Who is that?" And I could reply "That's the Juggernaut *SQUEE*!" She didn't get it at first.

Panel was sparsely attended but some good info. Some big news was not announced. No movement on the goat movie.

Re: Florida Super Con
Saw Shooter earlier....he signed a ton of books. He had a Cheesasaurus Rex comic in his folder along with some old photos with Stan Lee and other vintage stuff. He had alot of Marvel stories he was telling everybody as he was signing.
Secret Wars panel was ok. He did the most talking. I'm beat but i'll try to go tomorrow's panel.

Those are great, and that skectch cover is just so cool. I wish I had a little to spend that day. Did he do the sketch cover that day for you ?bygranddesign wrote:Had a great time at Supercon!

Re: Florida Super Con
The main man himself telling the crowd a story about Stan Lee...he had alot of cool pictures in his portfolio:
Panel pic of the Secret Wars 3:
I took the most important books in Valiant history ever:
These got a fun reaction from Shooter and he made everybody in line laugh...when he saw Cheese Rex #2 he said "I don't have this!" And I wrote it!"
He also said Cheesefinger was inspired by James Bond's Goldfinger...
Took some Marios for Shooter to sign. I almost got Charles Martinet (voice of Mario/Luigi/Wario/Waluigi) signature on these but I instead went for a special personalized voice message for my niece by Mario & Luigi.
The special Superman comicon cover he drew for this program & Galactica:
Fatale:
Jose Delbo was across from Shooter so I got his to sign Grimmax #0:
Plasm covers and a stand alone staple Plasm #0:
Dogs of War signed by Shooter with Georges Jeanty autograph:
Charlemange:
Special David Letterman Avengers & Secret Wars #1:
Spiderman Annual...he mentioned JayJay worked on this too...one of the first Shooter stories I ever read:
Solar HC:
Legion:
DarkHorse Shooter-verse:
Frank Quietly accidentaly signed this Solar variant and wrote an "Oops!" underneath his name when I pointed it out.
Maybe this was his way of saying hi to Jim:

Re: Florida Super Con
It was fun taking him those just to see his reaction. I stacked the books in a certain way on purpose to see how he would react as he signed each book and go the next one underneath. Each book sparked a new memory and story he would talk about to everybody waiting in line. I layered the plasms on top, comicon programs, food groups of comics and then the nintendos. When he saw the KFC book he would hold it up to the crowd and say "This one sold 1 million!" Cheese Rex comic: "This one sold 2 million!" He looked through it and tried to remember who drew it. he said the custom comics never had creator credits inside them.iggy101us wrote:Thanks for sharing. When he got down to signing the nintendo comics he said "Mario comics?!" "What are you doing to me!" Everybody else had early Marvels and secret wars stuff to sign.
I also took the Spanish Prudence & Caution #1 and he said he never knew it existed. The chicago comicon superman cover he said he drew from a photo referrence he took in new york with JohnBryne as one of the characters in the foreground.
The Legion Of SuperHeroes variant: He said Neal Adams would only agree to draw the variant if Jim Shooter were to sketch it....so he did.
I just wanted to keep taking comics to sign just to hear more stories. He should really host his own radio podcast.
It was fun. He must have signed over 10000 comics in that weekend.
