The Comic Show, Nashua NH 10/29-10/30 anyone?
Saw this press release today and was wondering if any of my fellow New Englanders were going to try to make it over to Nashua. I may try to take this in as there aren't too many good shows in this area.
THE COMIC BOOK SHOW HITS NASHUA, NH 10.29-30.05
Press Release
Comic book fans from around the region are in for a special treat
this Halloween when The Comic Book Show brings some of the
industry's top talent to a special two-day extravaganza in Nashua
Oct. 29 and 30.
Thousands of area fans have enjoyed the previous Comic Book
Shows, and the organizers are going all out to make the upcoming
show their best yet. Featuring over 125 tables of comics,
artists, collectibles, toys, art, and more, the October event
will be the only two-day comic show in New England and will
definitely offer something for comic book fans of all ages.
Guest of Honor Adam Hughes will be making his only New England
appearance at The Comic Book Show. Hughes' distinctive art has
graced the covers of many of the top comics published today,
including Wonder Woman, Catwoman, and The Justice League.
The show's guest list also includes legendary horror artist
Bernie Wrightson, co-creator of the Swamp Thing and illustrator
for numerous Stephen King novels; Bruce Jones, writer of Marvel
Comics' "The Incredible Hulk" series and several popular Batman
stories for DC Comics; and members of Mirage Studios, home of the
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, including TMNT co-creator Peter
Laird and artist Mike Dooney.
Other guests at the October show include comic book luminaries
Mark Texeira, Rick Leonardi, Dan Fraga, Andy MacDonald, Ivan
Brandon, Craig Rousseau, Todd Dezago, Joe Staton, Sean Murphy,
Christopher Golden, Tom Sniegoski, Ron Fortier, Ed Dukeshire, and
staff members from Digital Webbing. All paid attendees will
receive an exclusive edition of Digital Webbing Presents #24,
featuring the first color Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles story
published in several years. The Comic Book Show will also offer
hourly drawings for great door prizes, freebies supplied by the
industry's premiere publishers, and appearances by a number of
local small-press comic creators.
The Comic Book Show will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, and
Sunday, Oct. 30, at The Holiday Inn, 9 Northeastern Blvd.,
Nashua, conveniently located just off Route 3 at Exit 4. The show
will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and
from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $11 per person for
a weekend pass, which includes an exclusive limited edition Ed
McGuinness variant sketch cover Johnny Raygun comic while
supplies last, or $7 per person for a single-day pass. Children
10 and under get in for free. Due to scheduling and travel, some

I did really well at the show this weekend, but I was the exception. I would think the attendance for both days was about 500. Wrightson and the other artists were very available both days.
I did sell Valiants here and there, including more than a few commons.
I made a few interesting aquisitions, too, which I will be posting later this week.
I didn't meet wrunow! Where were you?

Sorry I am late on this, unfortunatley I didn't make it to the show because it was halloween here and I had child issues for the day, so, my comic show on Sunday became a low family priority.ckb wrote:I did really well at the show this weekend, but I was the exception.
