I 'm in!

'cause Im cheap and I can get 10 DU's for the cover price of a new comic.
And I can read about a whole series before forking out the cash.

My DU is ebay only, as I hardly have time to go to comics shops. Want to go to london and hit a little known spot that I hope still sells for 10 p an issue.

Chiclo warned me of this.

Count me in. Besides Valiant, I pulled a WOP from Defiant and I'll probably hunt down more Defiant and Broadway. I have a handful of issues of Malibu Ultraverse and Comic's Greatest World though I'm on the fence i want to go down that path. I know for sure I want to go back and restore my Crossgen collection someday and complete that universe.

*sigh*

I have picked up DU books when I can. Broadway, Defiant, Malibu (so far only Rune), JBs Next Men (sure DH isn't dead, but I figure it is its own uni)

Also whenever I come across any Goldkey or independants that look interesting, but only if there is a good deal involved.

And Valiant/Acclaim of course.

I much prefer the parody from the seminal movie, 'UHF'.

"Badgers...Badgers...I don't need no stinking Badgers."

heh... ...ok, maybe you needed to be there...and be a fan of really poor parody but any movie starting Weird Al Yankovic, has to be good yes? Ignore the Michael Richards performance, please.

I have been thinking about this lately as well for the DU, I'm thinking it would be cool and I think that I can get them even hard lamenated.

What are you thinking kind of like a lab badge or something actual badgelike in a police officer sense ?

A lab badge would be outstanding.
I would so wear that to all the shows like a proper geekazoid.

Hey, this sounds pretty cool, sign me up too :thumb: . Crossgen, First, and Ultraverse are my main DU pick-ups right now, although I've been thinking about picking up Elementals from Comico as I'm turning into a big Bill Willingham fan.

Welcome to the boards and the DU section MRC.

There are some really cool guys here and we re always happy to see new blood here.

Don't worry about being new. I was new to the whole thing until I started working with Draco and visiting here. These guys know their stuff and will have you swimming in defunct nonsense in no time.

I had heard about this forum probably over a year ago but just got around to checking it out now as im getting into Valiant and more indy books. I looked at the forum and saw the DU section. Glad i did too most of the books i see are dirt cheap i just dont have a clue as to whats good and whats not in the 90s. And im sure there are alot of 80s books i dont know yet. I want to start getting a list together on what i should get. Just browsing around here is helping. Is there any thread you could point out where i can figure out what to get??

For the price on one new book i can pick up 10 DU ones. So that appealing to me as well.

I love alot of the 80s indies in general.

I'm into the entire Ultraverse and everything published by Epic Comics ... both because of their connection to Marvel Comics.

I am rapidly sinking into the addictive quicksand of DU's. I have my eyes out for:
Dark Horse's Comics Greatest World
Broadway
Continuity's Cyberrad
Milestone
I would love to complete my Spider-Man 2099 run too and maybe look at some of the other 2099 books.
I would love to get all of the "Shooter" New Universe books and then add the rest later.
and I'm thinking about delving into DC's short-lived Helix line... :hm:
