quoted from another message board:
The Defiant characters are owned/managed by Classic Media/Random House. The same people who own all the Gold Key characters like Magnus, Solar, Dr. Spector etc. The only exception is War Dancer. According to former DEFIANT comics editor Pauline Weiss, War Dancer is owned by her husband Alan Weiss who is the creator.
Might want to double check with Shooter to find out for sure either way.

It'd be nice to see Defiant finished up. At least settle the storylines they had, even if it ends with a bit of a Ragnarok twist.

Random House would have been a much easier course - we will see. Now we are getting into multiple owner yuck with War Dancer - oh well!
What can Defiant fans do to help?

Petitions....letter writing campaigns?

:?

I'm in a lot of other forums and can help spread the word for fan support...whatever helps!

Im currently re-reading my Defiant run so it's fresh in my head. This stuff is genius.

The signed books with the gloves are the Birth of the Defiant Universe books, limited to 1000 signed copies (signed by Shooter, of course). Anything else you need identified, post it up as there are plenty of people here who know their Defiant stuff well.

Heck yea!

Dark Dominion is another great concept in the Defiant Universe.

I'm reading the whole run in the order they were originally released and re-reading these old editorial columns are great. So many great concepts and plans they had going at the time. Love the way these stories connect with each other. Way ahead of it's time!

What are the chances of a "Chasm" prototype comic being found in those Defiant boxes???
