Jim Shooter, Len Wein, David Lapham and Dick Giordano. Schism would have been so cool!

I just re-read this entire thread.

It is so cool!

(well, okay I didn't read the whole script for Schism either!)

Jim, I LOVE that you post your Defiant stuff (and I have been lucky enough to have seen just about everything you have posted in person !!! Great times !!) but I would (and I imagine many other Defiant fans) love to hear some of your stories about how you got into collecting Defiant and your goals and how you came upon many of the cool pieces that you own.

Now I remember seeing a VERY cool framed piece of Defiant art in your living room but I can't remember where you told me you got it from... would you like to entertain us a bit ?

Im a collector. i remember collecting rocks at about 8 then comic books about 12 Hot Wheels in my late 20`s Go-Ped stuff in my 30`s and now music 4,604 albums and counting. when i have a passion for something i have a drive to be the best that i can. in 1993 a friend of mine showed me this binder with cards in it. it was a Plasm binder and inside the back cover was a place for one card but it was empty. i asked what is this slot for? my friend replied thats for a level 3 autographed card but i will probably never see one. i thought this binder idea was really cool taking the cards putting them in order to make a comic book was ahead of its time. i went to the comic book store less than one block from my house at the time. i bought one box of Plasm cards i think they were $25.99 i took them home and carfully looked through each pack. i came across a couple of chase cards a level 1 and a level 2. i was pretty happy with that but i cant explain why but something told me to go through them once again. and so i did. i had seen that 2 cards were stuck together so i carefully pulled them apart and to my amazement it was a level 3 autographed card. at the time the price guide said it was worth $250 i was hooked. i no longer cared about any other comics i just concentrated on Defiant. my quest; to have at least one of everything. im so close but yet so far away from that goal. the things im missing are very hard to attain. this is my passion and i really enjoy sharing it with all of you.

Amazing! Great story!

Maybe you should find that same friend and have him tell you that you'll "never find" those last few remaining items!

Are the latest postings recently acquired?
