Elementals... Comico defunct, CO2 have rights?
Can't quite figure out who has what from Comico death. Would love to see Elementals done right by someone though. Would be truly off the charts if Valiant... nah...
Anyhew, can anyone answer the question?

I can't answer the question but I'd also love some new Elementals.

I have the complete Elementals in my "no sales box". Great run. There is some real crazy stuff in there.

Number 5, jay jay jacksons first work? Is that correct.
I wish their was a Spinal Tap comic, and I had a copy CGC graded at 11.

First work was Justice Machine Annual #1 from Texas Comics, which is the first appearance of the Elementals.

Here's page two of an interview with Bill Willingham talking about the rights to the Elementals:

Dead property? SAD. I know CO2 is suposedly a Comico relaunch, but they seem to be all underground creator press stuff. So... Dinesh... *ahem* Just wishful thinking

Yes it is. And Willingham's first professional comic book work after his game book contributions.Brother J wrote:re-read the interview you did, the answer is in there.StarBrand wrote:That sounds right, but I'm not positive.Phantom wrote:Number 5, jay jay jacksons first work? Is that correct.

I was thinking about Dark Dominion recently.
Would love more of that storyline.
Now who do I contact about the rights for that?

Re: Elementals... Comico defunct, CO2 have rights?
I've given thought to the idea of Valiant purchasing the rights to the Ultraverse from Marvel, but the problem is "how would it fit into the already established universe?" unless they make it it's own separate line with it's own continuity. Perhaps make the Ultraverse a popular line of comics in the Valiant universe?Paradigm38 wrote:Would love to see Elementals done right by someone though. Just finished a reading set of Elementals. Read the first 3 issues and gotta ask. Does it improve from here? So far it is OK but nothing special.

I THINK it would be Classic Media and/or DreamWorks Animation SKG, but don't hold me to that.Phantom wrote:I was thinking about Dark Dominion recently.

Re: Elementals... Comico defunct, CO2 have rights?
Last I heard it was Random House, which Classic Media then split off of and was then bought by DreamWorks, but I don't think Classic took any publishing rights to Defiant/Broadway. They were never listed anywhere under their properties that I've found. I think they're still owned by Random House.Cyberstrike wrote:I THINK it would be Classic Media and/or DreamWorks Animation SKG, but don't hold me to that.Phantom wrote:I was thinking about Dark Dominion recently.

Re: Elementals... Comico defunct, CO2 have rights?
I'm wondering if The Elementals might have fallen into public domain. Because of the owner not suing Aspen over the rights to their book Fathom when there was an Elementals spin-off of the same name.
