Toy Properties
What do you folks reckon we'll see tpb collections or revivals the "other" toy based comic books like Micronauts and ROM? Because it seems like only big name properties are given the treatment

I feel like those two are tied up with a lot of crap because of the Marvel books back in the day. They just can't seem to get past that.omega_override wrote:What do you folks reckon we'll see tpb collections or revivals the "other" toy based comic books like Micronauts and ROM? That armor looks disturbingly similar to the one in Sega's Vanquish and the helmet looks like it was ripped straight from Dead Spacewokuya wrote:

Yeah, I'd love to see trades of Rom and Micronauts, but the rights and licensing are a fuster cluck.

Agreed...however, there does seem to be an ongoing "evolution":omega_override wrote:That armor looks disturbingly similar to the one in Sega's Vanquish and the helmet looks like it was ripped straight from Dead Spacewokuya wrote:

Re: Toy Properties
There was a RUMOR that Hasbro was trying to get the rights to ROM (minus all the backstory, supporting characters, and villains) and make him into a Transformer as one of the legendary Knights of Cybertron characters. I don't know if that is going to happened but with Hasbro making Marvel's action figures I think sooner or later a new ROM action figure will be made for one of the two lines.

While I don't mind Transformers, I think arbitrary making ROM apart of Cybertron lore would be a brazen bas-tardi-zation of the character's historyCyberstrike wrote:There was a RUMOR that Hasbro was trying to get the rights to ROM (minus all the backstory, supporting characters, and villains) and make him into a Transformer as one of the legendary Knights of Cybertron characters. Re: Toy Properties
I would love to see an Exo-Squad comic. That was one of the best 90s Western animated sci-fi shows it actually feels like a forerunner to the reboot of BSG and the cartoon show ended on a cliffhanger and it could be a great start about having the lead hero following an alien invader ship while chasing the ship he recalls the backstory of the show or barring that a weekly 52 issues adaption of the series. And maybe it would push Universal to release season 2 on DVD.
I would also love to see a Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles comic series since Harmony Gold can't get a new animated movie (one that isn't basically a feature length clip show) or a new animated series off the ground and the LAM is stuck in development hell, if they can find a publisher that would publish more Robotech comics than the occasionally mini-series that isn't a side story to the show or is a very stupid crossover with Voltron.
I would also be for a Robotix or even a Challenge of the Go-Bots comic (I doubt that would happen due to Hasbro owning it in the US and IIRC Bandi owning it in Japan and who owns the visual rights to the characters) given that they are Transformers spin-off mini-series.

Re: Toy Properties
Exo-Squad is available streaming on the Hulu if you are wanting to watch the second season.
Phaethon was a pretty likable villain.

Loved Exo Squad. Great show.
How about Dark Water? I always thought that show had a lot of potential.

Streaming is great and all but I would rather still own physical copies of my media.

Time to bring this back? Anyone? Loved the dark tone in a kids show and the "Crossed-esq" virus that mutilates faces. The theme song was downright Kick A. S. S
