ARCHER & ARMSTRONG: FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Written by Jim Shooter, Barry Windsor-Smith and Bob Layton

Art by Barry Windsor-Smith

Cover by Michael Golden

168 pages, Hardcover, Full Color

$24.95

On sale September 24

The most unlikely traveling companions are back! This digitally recolored Valiant special edition collects the full Archer & Armstrong origin story from issues #0-6 for the first time ever, and includes an all-new "Formation of the Sect" story by series co-creator Jim Shooter and illustrator Sal Velluto, and an all-new cover by legendary artist Michael Golden! When Archer’s preacher parents betray and try to murder him, he goes in search of enlightenment returning as the world’s greatest hand-to-hand fighter seeking revenge. Instead of revenge he finds Armstrong, the centuries old immortal wanderer who spends his time drinking, fighting and spinning tales of his hedonistic adventures throughout history. When a ruthless cult and its bumbling agents try to enlist Archer to kill Armstrong, the one they believe to be the devil, the two most unlikely traveling companions turn the tables and team up to face down the threat that could destroy the world! Features groundbreaking art by series co-creator Barry Windsor-Smith!

And done by the big guy himself, too.

I think it's great that he is still willing to do new stories after all that happened to him concerning Valiant over the years.

Cool. I'm slowly making my way through the Harbinger trade they released, with X-O Man-O-War to follow. Look forward to this one too.

Something I have been saying for a while now...

It would be GREAT if they could recapture the same magic of Unity with Bob Layton, Barry Windsor Smith and Jim Shooter! :D

It was mentioned quite awhile ago that the target date was the end of the year, but I don't know if that will really happen or not.

We all do, but so far they haven't been very forthcoming with information on anything.

I think they are "waiting until the time is right", so to speak.

This is strange, but I can't find the solicit in either Mile High's site or MOC's. I'll email MOC to find out what's going on.
