All right....here we go. These are the latest pics of my collection.
Top shelf: Batman by Bowen, Robin from the Bowen collection, I'm not sure of the sculptor, Dark Knight, Amazing
Fantasy #15 cover (these are cooler than they looked when solicited), Joker, and a Hallmark Batmobile.
Second shelf: NECA Spidey and busts of Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Peter Parker/Spidey, Original Iron Man, Nick Fury,
The Shadow, Original Wolverine, Moon Knight, The Goon and Franky, Hellboy, Abe Sapien, A big Hellboy, Marv,
Sub-Mariner, Cap, and The Spirit.
Third shelf: The FF by Bowen, Fin Fang Foom bust, Marvel Milestones' Subby and Bowen's Doom.
More of the same, just the other side.
On the bottom: Captain America versus Red Skull from Sideshow, NECA Nightcrawler, Sandman Arabian Nights, Grendel
and Bowen's Hellboy.
Second from the bottom, Bowen's Superman, Superman Classic Covers #14, there's a Hallmark Superman that's obscured as well
as a Fleischer Studios version of Superman that you can't really see either, Alex Ross' Clark Kent/Superman, John Cassaday's
Modern and Golden Age Cap bustsand Bowen's GA Cap.
Bowen's original Iron Man, Sean Chen's Solar, and NECA Spidey cover.
Close up of Cap Vs Red Skull
Close up of Grendel and Hellboy
Kotobukiya's Darth Vader vs Luke Skywalker, based on Ralph McQuarie's original design sketches.
Sorry for the quality on some of the pics, these are the best I was able to get between the glares and other weird phenonmena that come with an older model camera.

Thank you.siren3-4 wrote:You have some really nice pieces in that collection !!! Great display !!
Love the Grendel and OG batman statues . .
Thank you, too! I'm excited to share the pics, no one around here really cares about this stuff, that's why I love these forums!Elveen wrote:Great display case. That looks really nice. Thanks for the pictures.
I recommend the display case if you can afford it. It keeps the dust away and looks great. Believe it or not, it was my wife's idea!

I also will probably ask you for some more pics when I get the making those character threads . . . I would rather have one of our pics as the representation of the statue or bust than the promo pic . . .
You have no idea. I never would have made it out to San Diego without her. I had always wanted to go, but this, that or the other always came up. Once she knew about it, she started planning and even forced me onto a plane! The flight phobia was new for me, I've flown before with no issue and even have a degree in aviation electronics so I know how those things work, but this time I was literally sick at the idea of flying. Any-who, she stood in ridiculously long lines with me, kept a schedule of things we wanted to see and people to meet so we could maximize the whole thing.Elveen wrote:MedicAR wrote: Believe it or not, it was my wife's idea!
A suppotive wife is a true blessing.
My wife rules!
That is the only way I get away with MY statue collecting as well. Oh man, my Hard Heroes Daredevil should be here any day now (giggle)MedicAR wrote:Nah, it makes you look a lot more level headed in your spending!Knightt wrote:I love to see such dedication to a collectible other than comics (yet comics related). Makes my collection look paltry.

The Statue is based off a Stars Wars (pre) production painting by Ralph McQuarrie and reprinted in the Star Wars Portfolio (1977). The caption reads...Daniel Jackson wrote:That's Luke Skywalker fighting Vader?stone384 wrote:I remember seeing the solicits for the Vader/Skywalker statue. That is one cool piece. I wanted that one badly. Very Nice!

I don't know what they sell for, but if you can find cheap copies of the Star Wars Sketchbook, ESB Sketchbook or RotJ Sketchbook, you'll be amazed at the original design vs the final version. I love McQuarie's paintings that he did based on the final desings too, the had one of the Bounty Hunters and one of Yoda, both were absolutely gorgeous!Daniel Jackson wrote:Hmm...interesting.SnotDrip wrote:The Statue is based off a Stars Wars (pre) production painting by Ralph McQuarrie and reprinted in the Star Wars Portfolio (1977).
