That's neat, but I haven't been an Iron Man fan in years. Marvel has ruined him in my eyes.siren3-4 wrote:IMJ did you order one of these ???

MadicAR is saying THIS piece is priced outside the range of the average collector. An average collector, I estimate to be a buyer between the range of $40 for a mini bust to $300 for a 12"-17" statue. Pricing this Iron Man bust at $700 will be out of the range of the average collector.MedicAR wrote:But they're pricing themselves out of the range of the average collector.
You would be surprised.Elveen wrote:The average collector...., who can afford $700?MedicAR wrote:Sideshow produces some fantastic items. They are really high quality stuff. But they're pricing themselves out of the range of the average collector.
Do we not have board members that have paid over $300 if not more for a comic book ?
Me I am looking for more bang for my buck... I can't see myself paying $700 for a comic book compared to a $700 life sized Iron Man bust. Of course keeping in mind that things like rarity and condition of comic books versus a mass produced bust, to some would not compare but me ? I would rather pay $700 for a bust than $300 for a comic (not that I would do either... just saying).
It's getting more and more rare that I spend that kind of cash on a single item, but I would much prefer to spend $700 on original art or maybe a key book.Knightt wrote:You would be surprised.Elveen wrote:The average collector...., who can afford $700?MedicAR wrote:Sideshow produces some fantastic items. It is a really sweet looking bust, though. If they had held it to $200-250, I might consider it.
But no guarantees......

Saw this one on ebay . . sold for almost $500 and had a broken head wing . .:Smashey wrote:Overpriced then. She had it at $1000. Then 50% for going out of biz, so $500.
Ebay auction 911 statue
But it looks like it was the first one listed in a while . . . there are 3 or 4 active right now that I don't think will go that high . . . they won't go cheap though . . .
I really want one of those....siren3-4 wrote:Saw this one on ebay . . sold for almost $500 and had a broken head wing . .:Smashey wrote:Overpriced then. She had it at $1000. Then 50% for going out of biz, so $500.
