I was watching this one with great interest. If we weren't in Christmas season I would've put in a bid.

I'm actually not sure what was done to the cover that makes it appear so glossy. Must be some kind of cover sheathing that hardcore book collectors use because it's way too obvious to be camera glare.

The book cover is protected by clear sheet similar to mylite bags used by comic book collectors. If you go to your local library I'd bet that nearly all the dust jackets are preserved with them.
