If I said I was looking for Marvel cards, what would you think I was talking about? Be specific. I ask this because someone on another forum has what I think is weird logic.

RubiksQbert What sets do you have and what kind of prices are you looking to get?

icemanxp300 They are buried. If I get some time I'll dig them out. I think I have stuff like 1991 dc comics, I'll have to check.

RubiksQbert I'm just looking for Marvel cards. Also looking for Valiant comics from the early 90s as well

icemanxp300 dc comics is marvel cards

http://www.junkables.com/jimages/mempro ... comics.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

RubiksQbert DC is a different company than Marvel. Marvel cards only.

icemanxp300 Ok I didn't know you only wanted the BRAND Marvel. Marvel is a generic term for all cards w/marvel characters just like saying "sports cards", you say "marvel cards".

Next time you only want a certain brand you should specify that. And before you say what you qouted me saying was a specific brand it wasn't. I said I had Marvel cards, which means I have cards of different brands which contain different marvel characters such as X-Men.

This is beginning to irritate me.

Am I out of the loop? When did Marvel turn into every comic card?

Trying to search with google I find nothing that supports his view. Sure I can understand an honest mistake from someone who doesn't know about the comic company, but his last little comment seems weird. I suggest you mentally put him on your list of dealers to ignore.

I didn't think I was going crazy. He might be a kid for all I know. Thanks for the backup.

Probably some sort of local perversion of the vernacular.

...do you need Marvel cards, RQB? I might could hook a brother up.

It seems to me that he doesn't realize that those DC characters are not published by Marvel comics. So he thinks DC is like Skybox or Upperdeck that just publishes cards for Marvel Comics.

Sorry marvel, means spiderman, x-men, and so on. So any CARD I own that has characters such as them WILL be knows to me as A MARVEL card, regardless of who manufactured it!
facepalm

Let's see. So instead of calling them comic cards, he will call them marvel cards. Brilliant.... That's not :censored: confusing at all. His comment "Sorry marvel, means spiderman, x-men, and so on." is duh worthy. Of course they are marvel.... I swear he's just a little dumb in the head.

So many things wrong with his last communication.

HAHA, when I read this I started laughing until my eyes were watering. I can't even type this without laughing. :D

I would think that you were looking for cards that had Marvel characters on them... or maybe cards with Image characters on them.

To a local idiot this is probably like how many people call "soft drinks" a "coke" and then ask for Root beer. The difference is that Coca Cola has permeated wider society so that the coke thing is infinitely more acceptable than using "Marvel Cards" as a catch phrase to represent all NSC will ever be.

Butthead.

Makes me wonder what that guy would give you if you asked for Q tips, Band-aids, a Skill Saw, some scotch tape & some Jell-o.

I would say Marvel Universe series 1-4, marvel masterpieces, Flair Marve etc... but then again I don't know anything that came out really after 1995ish.
