The further we get into this, the more I like it. It's got funny moments and dialogue, too.

I think this was the best book thus far. As JMatt says, dialogue was better, and we finally get a few answers without spoiling all the details.

What do you guys think, is "Rasa" a scrambled name for "Sara"?

I wonder how she ended up with Jason Poole. We know that he, the sheriff, and most of his deputies were all part of the same military unit. Something happened that Poole is responsible for but uses as leverage against the sheriff. Might have something to do with Rasa?
"Sorry, no. You are absolutely about to pepper spray the wrong guy."

Just me? I thought this was the worst of the series - and had great dialogue. But the story disappointed me.

If I win an argument, it doesn't mean I'm right. It means I'm a better arguer.

In addition, I'm right.

I'm not into it either, Kevin - and a book that has a Grant Morrison Doom Patrol kind of vibe like this normally should appeal very much to me. Especially coming from FVL, as I'm a fan of his Valiant runs to date prior to this series. But I just can't get into this one.

I gotta tell you, I genuinely love listening to the VCR podcasts. I love hearing the observations of three other Valiant fans who have not just read the books, but really put some thought into the storytelling, art, etc.

I agree with the 'cast: This title would have definitely benefited had some of the elements of this issue appeared earlier in the storyline. It took entirely too long for the big picture to start emerging.
