While I can't speak for others I will say the whole "you can't say you don't like something unless you buy it" has always been a rather ridiculous stance IMO. I'm over 40 years old and know pretty well at this point what I will or won't like. Why spend money on something that doesn't look appealing? To win brownie points on an internet message board? Life is too short. I can watch a trailer for a movie and know if it interests me. I can read preview pages from a comic and tell if it will appeal to me. If I see a turd on the sidewalk I don't have to step in it to know it's a turd, I just walk around it and keep moving.

And if it doesn't look appealing why encourage them with another sale just so you can say, "yep, I knew I wasn't going to like it." They already skew the data of the first issues of these books enough with their ridiculous variant covers and stores returning hundreds of copies that literally no one ever wanted. Why encourage more of that behavior? If a company is putting out bad product then well maybe their time is up, but it's not for me to subsidize their poor judgement, decisions and execution. They fail and succeed by the quality of their product, no more no less. They don't deserve a sale just like they don't deserve a participation trophy, they have to earn it.

Do I want to see Valiant succeed? Only if the books are worthwhile. When I think of Valiant I think of X-O, Harbinger, A&A and Ninjak. Right now if I look at the company I don't see any of those characters. I just see a bunch of turds on the sidewalk.

I'm astonished that everyone isn't on the same page regarding how awful this book is. Why take it personal? I bet the creators involved with this book don't care as much (which is probably also why we are where we are currently).
I disagree on some of your points. You can watch a trailer and know you don't want to see the movie, but you can't say you hate the movie without seeing it. Thats just ridiculous. I'm over 40 years old too and i've learnt to have a valid opinion, it has to be based on fact. I'm not saying everyone has to like whats being produced, but how can you realistically give an opinion on something you have not factual knowledge of an expect to be taken seriously? It just makes you a troll.
And everyone is on the same page about this book. But at least we know why, having read the series.
You're right on a lot of things, don't buy it just for the sake of it. It has to earn your money, and reviews go a long to way to people deciding if they want to buy something or not.
I'd be happy to send Nonplayer all 8 issues for him to read. Then if he says he hates it, then he's entitled to that opinion. I haven't criticized anyone else for hating Bloodshot, because they've read the book.
No ones after brownie points, theres plenty of criticism on these boards so brownies points or trophies arent an issue.

:thumb: it’ll be an interesting with Warner & Smith coming back. The gentle swinging English conditions will suit them. Do you go watch any of the tests? I’d love to go to Lords and watch it. The Barmy army are awesome when they come here. You spend more time watching them than the cricket.

Haven’t been for years (Old Trafford not Lords ) but it’s special when the Aussies come to play. Some rivalries never die (in a good way) :high-five:

I got bloodshot rising spirit up untill issue 4 and I made my own opinion off thoes issues. Because it was Valiant I gave it 3 more issues than I normally would give a new title.
So no need to mail me the 8 issues. But I do appreciate the offer.
I dont hate Valiant I hate dmg for what they did to Dinesh. The betrayals and forceful take over.
I Miss the good old days.
