Killers #1 Discussion
Huh, no OTV post?
Was cautiously optimistic about this book when it was announced. A, because Moore had done a decent job on Savage and B because ‘Killers’ sounds like a cool title !
Thought this issue was ok. Re-introduced characters we’ve seen in Ninja-k and picked up that continuity which was welcome. New character Roger Thorpe/Ninja J introduced who can summon his ‘ki’ and have unbreakable skin. When Kindt introduced a mystical element to Ninjak I wasn’t too sure about that and now it seems all the Ninja’s have powers, but what then differentiates them to psiots? Hmmm I think I’d have preferred Ninjak and all the Ninjas to just be humans with great skills (like batman).
The best bit about this book I think was Fernando Dagnino’s art which I thought was pretty excellent.
Will remain cautiously optimistic, not blown away by this issue but hoping it leads somewhere good, 3.75/5

Yes I thought I’d seen one of those early reviews where you give the emoji indicator of if it’s good or bad, couldn’t find it though?DirtbagSailor wrote:Getting it done.

Just wanted to say that I really like this week's OTV. It was nice hearing you guys just talking about some Valiant news like normal people. An extra 10-15 minutes of casual talking (or complaining) would be great.
I really liked this issue!
I thought the characters were well executed, the art was gorgeous, and the plot was exciting. Can't wait to see what's next.

Artwork is well executed, B. Clay Moore is a solid writer... but I'm just not into the furthering of this whole Kindt-legacy Ninja-Letter program idea. And as Dallow mentioned above - now all these spin-offs are basically ninjas with Ki-based super powers? Kinda meh on this. 3/5

Well executed first issue. Plot! Art! Continuity! Those first couple pages, really pull you into the story. 4/5
Anybody else get the Pre Order Editon Error*
*Additional pages are all out of sync and shape! Really weird looking...

Comic Book Commentary: Killers #1 with B Clay Moore
Adds more depth to an already great first issue. Also gives insight to a few behind the scenes editorial changes.

Re: Killers #1 Discussion
It's okay and leaves me slightly optimistic the story will go somewhere, but it's a very slow burn intro issue with no real hook.
And agreed that the "ki" idea is pretty unwelcome.
