OTV:VCR podcast discussing/reviewing this issue:

Because no one ever posted it and I have thoughts.

This issue did absolutely nothing to move forward the trite and cliche plot from last issue.

On one page Livewire says, "Does your DNA...make you a target?" Meanwhile, six pages earlier she said "there is nothing in our DNA that sets us apart." Which is it?! Are they psiots with "something extra" in their brains or are they the X-Men (which Ayala clearly wants them to be to tell the awful story she's forcing on us)?

The art style isn't as offputting as the previous issue, but characters facial features look so drastically different from panel to panel it's distracting. This arc should never have made it out of the planning stage.

You know, I just reread the first arc and I was honestly impressed. I plan on making a whole thread about it actually, but right now, after reading #10 I'm just infinitely disappointed in Ayala, Antos, Meyers, and Valiant. This issue, and entire arc, is a complete mess and absolutely pointless. Also, the art is garbage, and maybe the worst that Valiant post-2012 has ever produced.

This book really was a disgrace, I would fire anyone involved with it.

This book was a new low point facepalm

In better news, it was the last of my pre-orders so I’m out on this dross!
