Slay Bells (one shot)

Post by Dallow Spicer1 »

This was not my my cup of tea. The story of a father and his son out hunting on Christmas Eve and accidentally shoots a reindeer which causes them all to panic and get impaled on tree branches. Father Christmas isn’t happy and goes looking for revenge. A dark comedy book ensues but it’s not what I find amusing. The Lafuente art was fine in this story but I didn’t like his style as a fit in the Valiant U.

The back up story was better, ‘For a Good Time Call’. Written by Elliot Rahul, not sure I can adequately describe what it’s about but it’s worth checking out. Perhaps could’ve done with more pages to elaborate on the story.

3/5 - if you like Q&W then you’ll probably like Slay Bells, otherwise one to skip.

Didn't care for Slay Bells. The backup was kinda interesting.

I liked the backup better too, but I'm a huge fan of Eliot Rahal's stuff.
