The Harbinger#7 (2022)

The pretentious dialogue in this series is cringe. Last issue we had ‘speaking truth to power’ this issue the writers crowbar in a random comment about the ‘patriarchy’, just out the blue, no apparent reason

Some really poorly designed characters to along with the ridiculous names (the Wanted??) is a real distraction to an already murky plot. At the end of the last issue Pete Stancheck was shot in the head but gaudy colours completely undermined the moment. This issue is mostly tedious speeches until one of the main characters ‘Ago’ (that’s his name ) speaks truth to power and somehow gets Pete to heal himself from the aforementioned bullet through the head. Another character then persuades Pete to activate her and immediately creates herself a new costume for ‘reasons’ :?

Thankfully this woeful run is almost at an end so when the comic shop slash the price I’ll buy a copy and hate read it.

2/5 - Josh Dysart wept as did all the artist who worked on Harbinger pre DMG
