ORIGINAL ART
You will notice that I don't choose pages like most OA lovers. Most guys go for the most technical pages or the action pages or double splash spreads. Not me. I looooove the pages that convey emotion.

Rob Guillory (Chew)
Chew 10 page 21 - My first piece of OA. I liked the scene of them talking on the phone. The hearts around Tony sealed the deal.
Image

Chew 13 page 8 - Second page I'd ever bought. Again, another Tony and Amelia page. This time, they are kissing. AND John Colby is on this page showing some of his typical crazy looks AND the final panel as well as the little Guillory add-ins show the humor in the title.
Image

Chew 10 page 22 - Since I had previously bought the first page above, I inquired on the page after and got a good enough deal on it. I think it's pretty cool that I have the last 2 pages of this issue.
Image

Chew 14 page 15 - My only action page! Mason Savoy taking out John Colby and Tony comforts him. This scene shows a rare caring side to Colby and Tony's sympathy. Love it!
Image

Dynamo 5 Holiday Special VARIANT cover! Love, love, love this! Guillory doing one of the best team books ever. Screw all you guys that didn't buy it!!!!!!
Image

Paolo Rivera

Amazing Spider-Man 638 page 41 - My First Spidey Page!!!! AND it's an ASM page!!!!! This page perfectly captures the whole tone of the OMIT storyline. Heck! It really captures the tone of everything since One More Day (which I liked!)!!!!! LOVE, LOVE LOVE me some Spidey, *SQUEE*!!

TWD Prints

I'll never be able to own the covers of some of my favorite TWD covers, but 11*17 color prints signed by Tony Moore are pretty damn cool!

Stephanie Tyler
- I saw this artist in artist alley at Megacon. I'm going to spend more time in artist alley next year. That is where the cool stuff was.

COMICS!

Invincible!

My favorite comic series ever along with Amazing Spider-Man!
I've owned many more copies of all of the following books, but what remains are the higher graded copies.

Noble Causes: Family Secrets #3 (1st app)
- One of them is autographed by Jay Faerber who is the writer of NC and one of my favorites.
- If you are on the lookout for this book, check the spines and corners. Many of these sat in bargain bins for a while.

Image

Invincible #1
- 9.2-9.4, 9.4, 9.6-9.8, slabbed 9.8
- If you are in the market for a slabbed copy of this book or any Invincible, be cautious of corner bindery tears on 9.8 copies. CGC considers this a production flaw and therefore don't drop the grade for this kind of tear on the spine corners. This book does not have that and is the cleanest copy I've ever seen.

Image

Invincible #1 Larry's Variant
- No slackers here. All 9.6 or better copies.
- When Larry shipped these out as 10 packs offered on ebay, he sent them in priority envelopes with no bags and boards, no cardboard, nothing. Just the comics. Therefore, if you are in the market for these, check the corners and the spines. Although the card stock cover on these is tough, nothing can hold up to that kind of crappy shipping.

Image

Invincible Trades 1 - 3 First Prints
- These aren't worth anything, but one day, I feel they will be. Reasons: a.) They are the first prints of this series, b.) they have a different cover than all other later printings, c.) they weren't terribly over-printed. If the trade market ever picks up in collectibility, I feel these books may have potential.
- I have 2 sets of these.

The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead #1
- 9.4, 9.8

Image

The Walking Dead #2
- 2 first prints
- 1 second print - This one is pretty damn hard to find.

Image

The Walking Dead #50 Larsen/Ottley variant
- I've owned probably 6 of these. Watch out for corners and spine problems on this book.

Image

The Walking Dead #75 variant
- sweet cover!

I've been getting into sketches a bit lately.

Bob Hall , Tampa Con 2011 (August, I think). Posted before, but put here with the others. :thumb:

Alex (Ironhed) Sanchez , Megacon Feb 2012
Image

Phil Hester, Megacon Feb 2012 - Eric O'Grady style Ireedeemable Ant-Man
Image

Tommy Castillo , Largo Con Mar 2012

An original sketch by some jerk!

This is my absolute favorite of all the blanks. I've picked up a few of them, but no sketches on them yet.
Image

Tampa Con 10/20 - 10/21 - Larry Jarrell Jr Thor and Iron Fist. Nice dude from Orlando, nice reasonable sketches! I picked up his steam punk book (the iron fist sketch) and the second issue to give them a read. :thumb:

Image

Cary Nord - Aric. Although I didn't specify it, I was hoping for some color when I handed over the blank, but when I got it back, I was glad there was no color because it could've muddied the beautiful inks. There's some nice detail here that my crappy scanner doesn't catch. Love it!Image

Ben Templesmith - Loki. Templesmith is an awesome dude. He did some sick Jokers and everything else he cranked out was first rate. I figured he'd do a killer Loki since Loki is kind of nuts. He said he'd done a movie Loki before because the ladies love it, but this was his first comic Loki. I was thinking I'd get something more nuts looking and alot less clean line work, but this is beautiful. The crappy scanner doesn't do the watercolors justice. The work he cranked out so fast was amazing. I'd definitely get another one from him if he comes back around again.
Image

I'm really starting to love blank covers. Very cool!
