I barely managed to get issue 3-4 of ROM/MICRONAUTS so i can't wait to read them. But ended up reading the FCBD Unicron issue, so we lost most of the space knights and their homeworld which is getting me worried about the fate of ROM. At least it was good to see ROM as a major character in this story, hope he sticks around for the rest of the event.

Sucks he couldn't stop this eater of worlds when originally he stopped galactus xd

awww dude that sucks! Though at least it seems like this unicron story will impact ROM for us to talk about it here (thank god they haven't left him in obscurity) so I'll get this event on my pull list, most likely the rest of the hasbroverse will be involved (with the visionaries living on cybertron at the moment they have to get in the action). Also the 0 issue reveals some major revelations of how ROM is connected to the transformers which surprised me a bit.

Good news - I went to my LCS today and they had a couple copies left of a few FCBD comics, including this one! I also got the Chapterhouse Captain Canuck issue too :D

okay now that some time has passed, i can totally ask now. Was connecting ROM almost directly to the transformers a bad idea? since the metal that fused with them comes from one of those giant ancient cybertronians. I'm actually alright with this just by the fact that ROM has always worked great when integrated to a shared universe but could also a the same time be a bad thing if you just cared about ROM himself.

New ROM series on the horizon again, at long last! Chris Ryall back at the writing helm too. :thumb: :thumb:

With even more hindsight since you posted this comment... I don't think it turned out to be as bad as it could have been, but I do think that ROM was really diminished in importance overall because of it. He was tossed into that Unicron mini-series almost as an afterthought.
