just read the free comic book issue and looks very interesting. I didn't know Noble had come out already so I will give it a shot.
Accel is still the one I'm looking forward the most

Couldn't get the FCBD issue...the shop that had it gave you one choice and two random...though I'm going back to see if they have any left.

All three shops I went to didn't have Noble, so I guess I'll read it digitally.

ah dude, that sucks. For me it was hard to get since i drove to 3 shops to finally get a copy.

Also for the "Superb" title, it will introduce the first down syndrome superhero. I'm actually very interested in that.

Anyone able to chime in on if which comes first - Noble or the FCBD issue? I haven't read either yet, but would like to do so chronologically.

Keith, the FCBD is first, it deals with the set up and the "white event". All the #1s are after that. NOBLE was great. these are great books.

We are recommending them to all our subscribers, ordered a ton of the FCBD and giving them to subscribers to try out. Have plenty of Noble #1 too, if anyone is interested.

Those two seemed like the most promising of the titles. I really want to check them all out, but I'm not sure I can handle another 7 titles every month.

so I got accell today and the art is great. The main lead is likable and could be the "spider-man" of the catalyst prime verse. though I do admit there was something a bit too much on the villain of the book. He wants to kill the hero for the dumbest reason. He has the resources to do it but I do wonder what's his deal really is. Our lead is also a bit too lax on the whole secret identity so I hope it does come and bit him later. He also doesn't seem as op as the likes of flash which is good. speedster are hard to write cause of their abilities.

it shouldn't be too hard seeing there's only been 2 issues of noble and 1 for accell currently.

More like Flash to me. There is a cool twist to his powers that makes for interesting story possibilities

I've read the FCBD book and the first two issues of Noble. These are right up there with modern Valiant. Excellent stuff!

What a difference a few more books make. While I'm still loving Noble, the second issue of Accell read like a terrible issue of The Flash, Superb 1 was just okay (nothing truly innovative) and Incidentals was a dud with boring writing and mediocre art. Writer Joe Casey is looking like a very weak player in the Catalyst Prime field at this point.

With only Noble impressing me, I may be dropping Catalyst Prime completely if the other books don't improve right away.

I'm sure loving Vault Comics, despite missed release dates. The only book I dislike from them is Karma Police. Have to look and see if there's a thread for them....

currently noble is the best one for me following superb thanks to its second issue, accel is getting there and lastly incidentals which straight up sucks. artwise is terrible, bland story, bland characters whose design makes them all look the same and I'm dropping it if it's next issue doesn't get better which I doubt. the next 2 titles look very promising though.

Was able to catch up via ComicBlitz, which has the FCBD issue, Noble, Accell, Superb and Incidentals #1.

The FCBD issue was really good. A great set up for the universe that made me want to read more. Noble #1 was a solid opening issue. I enjoyed Superb as well. Accell was just OK...really nothing new or innovative and came off as rather cheesy. Incidentals was a bit of a mess... Too many characters and not enough pages to properly introduce them.

Overall it had the feel of a 90s universe launch a la New Universe, VALIANT and Ultraverse--which I didn't mind. Looking forward to reading a few more issues of each and seeing what their 2nd wave has to offer.

Astonisher #1 was added to ComicBlitz. Not great. Really rushed into the main character discovering his powers, and were unclear exactly what they were for some time. The attempt to show some trippy, inside another person's mind scenes were just clustered and ineffective.

Similar problems with Accell #2. Not sure where they're going with all of it. I get the sense they're building to a shared universe threat, but its all coming off a bit disjointed.

Noble and Superb seem to be the best titles of the group thus far.

Cyberstrike wrote:OMG they're SJW comics! Oh lord the world will end because we have to put up with with black, Hispanic, disabled, and female superheroes and none of these new heroes are white, straight, male characters![/extreme sarcasm

Just thought I would get that crap out of the way.
This is my thing - how is having non-white or female characters make a comic SJW? Honestly I'd like to know. I know that Cyberstrike posted this as sarcasm, but I've been watching a lot of comic related Youtube of late & labeling things SJW seems to be a thing. I understand what SJW means & I generally despise SJWs but I think the term for comics & other media gets way over used.

From what I've seen of Marvel's America ... that is a SJW book, it seems centered on the character being Brown & Lesbian; totally identity politics & the author of Black Panther is an outspoken SJW, I've read his articles. He has a low opinion of America, whites & Western culture. I'm am deeply annoyed he seems to being flagged to take over Captain America. I have zero issue with Marvel replacing characters with non-whites & gays, as long as it 1) makes sense, 2) isn't done in a hamfisted manner & 3) is done with respect to the character & fans.

Now off my rant & back on topic, I am looking forward to checking out these titles. They look cool.

Having read quite a few of these I would not call them SJW at all. Diverse, yes. Their lead characters are Black, Latino, Asian, White, Female, Male, Able and Disabled. But as of yet I have not seen these characteristics as central to any of the stories except for Superb, where for obvious reasons the character’s disability and extra-ordinary abilities are juxtaposed. Yet I’m not even sure when, or if at all, it is stated that the character has Downs Syndrome.

I hate forced diversity in comics, but this doesn’t feel that way. It feels like how the world is. Not all the books are great, but they’re not obnoxiously pushing an agenda.

I am looking forward to learning more about Noble & Superb looks interesting. Having a superhero with Down-syndrome is intriguing especially on how they received their powers; I hope that they don't simply make a gimmick to sell the comic. I'd like to see how they deal with Jonah deals with his new found powers & how Kayla deals with hers & how this plays out between them.

Concerning Accell - do we need another speedster? Nope. Him being Latino isn't enough to move me to get into that book. Now if they bring something new to the character that go beyond super speed I might consider it. I need to see what the other titles are before I can comment on them.

Noble and Superb are definitely the best titles thus far. Totally agree with Accell: so far there isn’t anything groundbreaking there. Incidentals and Astonisher’s first issues were not very good at all.

I agree forced diversity is crap no matter the media but if it is done organically & with respect to the comic I have zero issue with it. Catalyst Prime seems to be trying to do it in a respectful manner but only time will tell if it stays that way.

It’s obviously premeditated in that they likely came in with a mandate to have a diverse group of characters, and perhaps that will help draw people to the universe. We will see what happens, but so far there hasn’t been any SJW vibe to any of it.
