Here is a breakdown of the Triumphant comics that had a min-poster of various Defiant Comics characters. Kinda like a cross-over but not dealing with any storyline that we knew of. I wouldnt say that these are MUST have issues, but for the completist it may be of some import.

Thanks Chiclo

Hmmmm looks like I have a ways to go... I didnt really think these issues went beyond 5-7 issues per title. I'm surprised.

I TRUST that the storytelling is good because from what I have seen son far, the art.... well it could be better.

Flipping through the Dollar Bin, I came across a Triumphant issue and it was such a part of the speculators craze that I had to pick it up.

Since each Triumphant issue appears to be individually numbered, I can tell you I got #1654 of 18,000 of DOCTOR CHAOS #4. This is a signed by the co-creators Limited Edition. It also came with a postcard.

Those signed editions are difficult to find.

They are also one of those instances where rarity doesn't translate into value.

Still, quite worth your dollar if only for the fun of lording it over your friends.

I don't think there's much value in any of these. I got it just for fun.

Cool!! looks like issue 1-6 of Doc C was of the same type with each being numbered:
#1 XX of 32 000
#2 of 30,000
#3 of 20,000
#4 of 18000
#5 of 14000
#6 of 15000

These figures make not represent actual circulation numbers.

1-6 should have a coupon to redeem for Doctor Chaos #0

Hope this helps

Front Cover. The white sticker is on the bag, not the actual comic.

VERY NICE... thanks for the photos.

Anyone out there have dupes of their Triumphant comics ? I've only got about 8 books and am wanting to buy/trade my way to completion. And with the beauties like the one above, it could be challenging. I don't really think that the art of Triumphant Comics is anything to jump and down about but from what I have read of the books I have... the stories have some pretty good potential. (IMO)

Strange isnt it that when i first looked at these they were just raggetty old poop, but upon closer inspection regardless of the timeframe they were produced i.e madness of the early nineties speculator stylee, they did put some thought into what they were doing and whilst the art isnt that great, its not the worst fo what out there from a similar time.

So i take back what i preciously said about them, theyre ok.

Also i have a massive unleashed pack signed by the creators/owners that has a whopping $75 price tag.
The sticker is the same style as in Brians pic.

I will get some picks up real soon.

In the thread I linked to earlier when i couldn't get scans posted here, one of the guys that co-wrote two issues of PRINCE VANDAL commented on his experience with the company. His comments are pretty amusing. While they wanted a cohesive universe with each title interacting off of the others, they really only mapped out about a month in advance. There was no long term plan. In fact, when he showed up to write the issue with the other co-writer, he was told all they had to go on for a plot was the cover that had already been completed. So the story was conceived around the cover.

I just got in a big lot a nearly complete run of "The Chromium Man" and "Chromium Man Violent past". Issue 3 of the regular series is autographed and came with a postcard. I sat down and read all the issues, and the art wasn't that good. The best was the first few issues that had Adam Polina artwork. But the story was good and had major amounts of potintonal. Next con I hit i will have to find all the rest of the various series Triumphant put out.

What is everyone's favorite series from Triumphant?

To start off... WELCOME TO THE DEAD UNIVERSES (DU) SECTION.

I'll tell you in a few days, I am expecting 54 Triumphant issues to arrive in the mail sometime this week. This box should fill about 90-95% of Triumphant for me. There was a deal I couldnt pass up because I would not want to spend what might be massive amounts of time for a DU that I am really not 'that phyched' about. I read a bit of a few Riot Control and it seemed ok. I think that the art is absolutely terrible but so far from what I have sampled, it is going to be the 'story' that is going to be the most appealing.

This issue that you have, signed with post card is a set of that run that (I believe) is limited to 1,000 signed copies.

Are you going to be keeping these books for your DU collection ? Do collect other DUs ?
