I have a NEW addition to the Big Entertainment side of the house for Tekno Comics:

http://cgi.ebay.com/BIG-ENTERTAINMENT-B ... dZViewItem

First time I have ever seen it and for the price... well it was a done deal. Now all that is left is for MHC NOT the screw up the order.

I just picked up a Tekno ashcan that was exclusive to the 1996 San Diego Comic Con. Here are pics of the cover (f & b) and a couple interior pages just to wet your appetite. (list updated)

I've had mine for a while now... one of the cooler 'collectibles' that I own IMO. The photo on this auction though... it 'looks' very shiney when I do not believe this to be so as mine is very dark and rugged looking. They may have polished it, I dont know but it is much shinier than mine.

Both issues of "From Dusk 'Til Dawn" were more like Graphic Novels, and have PUNY print runs along the lines of Predator vs Magnus TPB, maybe even smaller. The Deluxe version had a cover price of $9.99. I think it cost me around $7 with my store discount, when it first came out in 1997. If you've found either of these, consider yourself lucky. If you found them in a quarter bin, the Comic-Gods must favor you, my son...:)---Steve
Dude the From Dusk till dawn for 50p was a winner and i knew it was scarce as i had never seen nor heard of it.

so cool

Yeah, I contacted the guy and he said it was just camera 'flare' and I dont think the metal would stand up to polishing. Still cool though.... I think at least.

Tekno had a lot of promo stuff. If anyone is interested, do an eBay search for Tekno, you'll come up with a Tekno watch, Tekno T-Shirt and a Tekno frisbee. :?

ya, all on my snipes, guess i will have competition now lol.

So...the guy who had the 10 rings.....i offered him 2 bucks each. He says no thanks, then raises the price from 3.95 to 6.95. Hes had them listed for a very long time. He sold one in 12/06, and one since then.

I just bought a comic lot from ebay that has a bunch of "Tekno Comics" promo cards/ads if anyone is interested. Includes a bunch of repeats too.

I'm mainly into the Defiant/Broadway promo stuff and haven't really gotten into the Tekno collecting.

Can anyone tell me if the Neil Gaiman books are worth reading? Or for the Tekno collectors, what were your favorite titles? I'm thinking of starting this DU?

I recently discovered that there are newsstand and "direct" versions of Tekno books. If you look at your books, you'll probably notice that many of them say "direct sales" to the left of the UPC. However, there were variants published that don't say anything to the left of the UPC.

I'll give you a moment to recover from your mind being blown. :D
