May have to get one of those for my son since he's "confiscated" all of my old NES and SNES games.ian_house wrote:Thats pretty cool!Daniel Jackson wrote:Sweet.superman-prime wrote:i have space to keep all mine up and running

Wii to launch in 2012Daniel Jackson wrote:What an odd code name "Project Cafe". Wonder what's behind that.depluto wrote:Should be sooner than that.
Not many specifics, but it sure sounds like they going to stick with the same formula for the next console. They don't even mention a word about improved graphics or processors...
I have a bad feeling they are not going to try and focus on the hardcore gamers. I think that's a big mistake in the long run.

The project name will probably have nothing to do with the end result, they never do. The N64 was codenamed the Dolphin and I can't remember the others but pretty sure they were unrelated to the end product.

Good point about the project name. Guess we'll have to until E3 to see what have up their sleeve.ian_house wrote:Agreed.Daniel Jackson wrote:Wii to launch in 2012Daniel Jackson wrote:What an odd code name "Project Cafe". Wonder what's behind that.depluto wrote:Should be sooner than that.

it will rock nintendo has won this batch long as they dont screw it up and they know it kik up the graphics keep it open ended and update online and you win
most of that is pretty easy and not like they have to match the ps3 graphics just get their game up some im buying MK m bros zelda no matter what as are all of you if the gameplay is good the graphics are second on those games

Yeah, graphics are only part of it. Nintendo has always been good about delivering fun and epic games, but it's time to take things to the next level. Another thing they need to work on this time around is top tier titles. There are not nearly enough on the Wii (or the last system for that matter). They can't just put out three or four titles and expect that to tide gamers over for next year.superman-prime wrote:it will rock nintendo has won this batch long as they dont screw it up and they know it kik up the graphics keep it open ended and update online and you win

The SNES RPG glory days are long over. Damn shame. Secret of Mana, Lufia and the Fortress of Doom, Chrono Trigger, Breath of Fire(1 & 2), Final Fantasy 2 & 3 (4 & 6), Zelda, Actraiser, Soulblazer, Illusion of Gaia...the list goes on and on. Those days will never be matched. Never.superman-prime wrote:the next zelda is almost here they need to get mario 5 up and galaxy 3 and kart 2 rehashing MK for 10 years is no longer working i just play DD a lot for its uniqueness MK on the wii was nothing new

I will always love the old school Final Fantasy/Breath of Fire/Chrono Trigger/Suikoden-type of games. I don't much care for StarCrack or the latest anime-on-steroids rpg. Give me something classy, like FF12, any day.ian_house wrote:The day of the J-RPG is long gone. Just look at the best RPGs in the world in recent years, not one of them have been in the J-RPG style. I think those kind of games are really much better suited to handhelds now.
