Minecraft LEGO Is Happening

In a match seemingly made in heaven, Danish toy giant LEGO has announced plans to release an official line of Minecraft-inspired LEGO.

The licensing came following a user vote on LEGO's Cuusoo website asking for public pitches on new lines for the company to create. Block-based Minecraft seems a perfect fit for LEGO and the community agreed, voting Mojang's title their favourite new pitch.

Developer Mojang said in a quote on Cuusoo, "Minecraft and LEGO were meant to be together... We will work with the LEGO Group to secure a licensing agreement and donate the 1% royalty from LEGO CUUSOO to charity."
