Archer and Armstrong #25

Post by arghh! »

I have tried searching for the answer but can't find it. At the end of this story (2 parter with EW 25), Phoebe is pregnant with Armstrong's kid. What happens with the baby? Is it ever explained? Wouldn't the kid be immortal too?

Hey! Welcome to the board! The kid might be immortal. I imagine he probably would be immortal since even distant cousins like the repair guy from the Timewalker series ended up immortal-ish being related to Ivar.

I think this falls into the category of another "untapped" story.

Would Armstrong's kids go insane like Gliad's?

Good question! What if "Armstrong" in the later Magnus run is actually the son of the original Armstrong? Hmmm???

Old man Rizzo? Or what was his name again?

I think that it was only Gilly's kids that went nuts...as a direct result of being his offspring. Armstrong was so laid back, I think his kids could handle being related to him.

Thanks for the welcome! I have been lurking here for years. I stumbled across a comic store that was selling old valiants for 5 cents so I picked up a few short boxes and have been having fun reading them. I haven't gotten to the stories with Gilad's kid yet. They are in the Magnus series?

Nope. It was THE Armstrong. It's pretty obvious through the dialogue about the "Eternal Geomancer" that he has that it is him.

I just finished reading Unity ( I was waiting until I had all the issues). It seems there should be a bunch of immortal kids running around if it is inherited. All Armstrong's first family were killed so I guess it doesn't always pass on.

I think it is genetic, but perhaps it is a regressive gene.
