Finished Harbinger (Trade 1)
Last night I decided to read the first trade of Harbinger, finished it in a few hours.
It was a fun read. Different ideas floating around there, will be reading the next trade sometime this week.

Harbinger trade 1-4, or Harbinger (hardcover) with 0-7?

I was only asking because I wasn't sure how someone reading 1-4 would feel... is it enough of a story or does it stop abruptly?

Re: Finished Harbinger (Trade 1)
0-7 storyline ends, kinda sublime. But I'm intrigued to see what will happen in the next trade.
After reading the reviews about the original series, I can see where it had ground breaking characters & ideas.
Fun to read and gain some insight of what made Valiant different when these comics first came out!

Those first 8 issues of Harbinger [including 0] are the best, IMO. Its still really good up to 13, then gets a bit unfocused leading up to #25, which is the last good issue of the series - at least its the last one I really liked...

The end does get a bit better. Not enough to have KEPT it going, but interesting. You are right, though about the 26-30-ish issues. In addition, I'm right.

Re: Finished Harbinger (Trade 1)
I stopped reading it at #28 back in the day. Recently found a copy of #33 for cheap, but not sure if I'll pursue getting the full set. I could be persuaded to try though...kevinbastos wrote:The end does get a bit better. Not enough to have KEPT it going, but interesting. You are right, though about the 26-30-ish issues.
