I think at one time this book was a litte tough to get, but I know there was a seller a while back who had a store listing with a butt-load of these for sale at a low Buy It Now price. I haven't looked for it since I obtained it, so not sure how hard it is to find now.

Thinking of collecting another dead universe.
Is defiant really cheap, good read, and easy to get?
Is it abrupt endings to the stories. Or did they know it was ending and finished it well?

Same for question for ultraverse.

As of right now (May 15th, 2008) the chances are slim to none.
And slim is out of town at the moment.

But never say never though. :D

defiant is usually easy to get and cheap...and there aren't a ton of issues to look for...ultraverse is much larger not to mention the damn variants that you'd need to hunt down

This is a reeeally old quote from an interview Jim Shooter did for CBR in 2000....this was 8 years ago but still very cool!:

MDT: Have you thought about coming back to revisit the Plasm universe?

Jim Shooter: I've thought about doing some bio-tech stuff. Plasm is now owned by Golden Books Entertainment and I have a relatively good relationship with them. So if I come up with something, I might.

This kinda gives a little hope for a Defiant return, right? It's only been 14 years since Plasm #13. Great concepts like "Plasm" can't be left alone!

Long live Defiant!

8 years and still no new Warriors of Plasm story. :(

I've made it no big secert that I perfer Definat and Broadway over Valiant but my feelings on a possible return of one or both them is that if VEI is extremely successful someone with a lot money and the right connections
says something "that Valiant stuff is really doing good, remember those other two comic book lines that Shooter created after he left Valiant, you know Definat and Broadway" and gets on the rights from whoever owns them.

But the problem is that Defiant and Broadway didn't last long (roughly about 18 months combined) and are considered small cult classics at best.

Never seen these before in the UK and it had to be a 20p box.

Anyone ever got one of the Defiant Comics envelopes where inside there's a Plasm poster, ad sheet, and a few Newlin Company Inc. letters from Shooter?

Did you notice in the letters there's artwork with a Jim shooter bio/short story type of thing?

Do you know who drew those art panels?? Shooter himself?

:o

Maybe he did a few pencils for Valiant under another name (I think it was Paul Chedwick).

close, it was Creddick.

I don't think he used the Creddick name other than for those Magnus issues, did he? :?

Because if Shooter was Paul Chadwick he would have obtained a new level of awesomeness I hadn't credited him with.
VALIANT/Concrete crossover? :hm: :P

It might be a store promo.

Or it could a magazine poster either from Hero Illustrated, Overstreet Fan or Wizard (I would say if it's from a magazine it would from the first two since Wizard didn't do much to help promote Defiant).

A friend of mine called me last week for abeer and said he founf a small box of mine in the garage full of defiant stuff.

Cat wait to go look at it as i havent made my Defiant wants list yet.

Possibel i will fill 90% from my own stock.

I had wondered where all the multiples went when i sorted all the back bulk stock in the last few months. Now i know and im happy.

Easiest way I can think of is to track down the Previews it appeared in (alongside Deathmate Orange)

Vol III No. 6, June 1993 (I keep mine handy)
