I dont know if that is exactly true or not but in the company's continuity, yes.

It did not help the Warriors of Plasm cards when an issue of Previews placed the entire #0 in a printed version smack dab in the middle of the Previews issue. So, you did not have to buy the cards to read the comic. Kinda dumb huh ?

Yes it IS a huge list... do you think it would be better in a seperate 'cards' thread/sticky or added onto the 'comics' list ?

It's fine where it is.

We know Defiants list of comics will not take up much room.

List is as complete as I can make it at this time pending more info from Technique. But I wanted to get the essentials down as far as comics/cards. Promo stuff like watches, ballcaps, t-shirts and other nifty items can be added from this point.

List updated. Any info on this version, Craig ? I think this book had one or two staples in it as well didnt it ? Where did it come from ?

My 'stand alone version' was cleanly stripped from a copy of Previews. (i.e. not a real 'stand alone')

I have a Dynamic Forces edition of Dark Dominion #1. Signed and numbered by Len Wein. I don't know if this would count as an individual item to be listed (similar to the VVSS books?).
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I will add it !!!

Interested in getting rid of it ? PM or email me if so... ya know, I didnt even know about this, so I am fairly excited about it. And here I was ONE book away from being complete (needing Birth of the Defiant Universe).

Arrrrrgggghhhhh....

The stand alone Plasm #0 has one staple in the middle of the spine. I picked it up at the Philly Comicfest for $20. The dealer claimed it was from a limited print done for in house use at Defiant. He also claimed only 20 copies or so were made this way. I really don't know what the truth is but I can guarantee that it is not a cleaned up previews version.

I have never heard that story... not saying that it isnt true but, ya know.

Yikes, $20 bucks is kind of steep huh ? One staple and all. Great to have confirmation that this issue actually exists now though. :thumb:

Thanks that is very useful information to add to the list... OH and thank you for adding yet ANOTHER book to my list. LOL

Sure, I'll consider it. Would it be worth a Shadowman #8 VcVSS in even trade? :D

I had actually forgotten I had it. I ran across it while digging for my Continuity comics and made a mental note to see if you had it on the list.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

I notice that Defiant1 plans to "retire" his site this fall. I assume that this means that the archived Defiant/Broadway stuff will go away.

Does anyone have the means/desire to archive the information there?

What would it take to archive the information there?

I imagine it would only require someone to ask for the info and have the ability to store it on a server. I have perhaps 100 megs of space on my server (not a lot I know) and would be willing to do so but I do not think I would be well recieved in asking.

It is a shame that the site is going to be 'retired'. There is a lot of valuable information on it. Was there mention of why he was going to retire it this time ?

No mention as to why he is retiring whatever it is that he plans to retire.

Whether it's connected or not he eliminated all but Catfish discussion shortly after negotiations fell through for the Miracle on Broadway issue that is on ebay now. The greed of the seller may have pushed him over some kind of edge with regards to how he looks at the former company.

I notice that he has brought back the Broudway section until the auction is over.

Things that appear (maybe I overlooked them) to be missing from your list:

Dark Dominion #1 (DF s. Wein,James,Downs, of 750)
*Already mentioned by another poster.
*There are LOTS of these that have been signed in blue marker by Shooter. Some come with a sealed three-pack of cards that are supposedly limited to 5000. The cards are Lorca, Steampit, and Mr. Fingerman.

Warriors of Plasm: Home for the Holidays GN (DF s. Wein of 1500)

Warriors of Plasm: Home for the Holidays GN

Warriors of Plasm: Collected Edition TPB
*There is a signed (by Shooter) version of this TPB that is numbered to 1000. The commonly come sealed with a COA (not DF).

Origin of the Defiant Universe #1 (Defiant Authentic)
*This was distributed by Defiant and comes with a Defiant COA. Similar to a VVSS except for the raised seal. Signed by Alan Weiss. I would have to check the COA to see how many there are.

Didnt this also come with a letter from the company explaining a few things ?

None of mine have a letter. I do have a note for the item that reads:

"Some may have the "River Group" letter (not by Shooter) that accompanied the comic."

So I suppose that some do.

Do you have one with a letter?

Now that you mention it I recall one on ebay but the starting bid was too high. I don't recall exactly what the letter said.
