The Story

Dustin. 31. Texas.

This is my Valiant story.

I was into comic books as a kid in the mid 90s, though I typically had back issues and random "new" comics my grandmother bought me when Walmart had comic racks in the toy section.

Anyway, I used to see these 50 comic book lots in a magazine back then, and I often said I'd love it. Well, one day I came home to this huge stack of random comics. There were a good bit of comics from Valiant. I remember X-O, Bloodshot, Turok, etc.; many were first issues.

I eventually got out of comics.

DC's New 52 / Day One Digital brought me back as an adult.

I got out of comics again.

Valiant has had my interest since 2012, but I'm just now jumping in. I just purchased my first hardcover, X-O 1. I can't wait for it to arrive. I'll be slowly catching up with the hardcovers and trades. Eventually, I hope to catch up with the floppies.

My story will grow and evolve...

Oh man so cool. XO is a good cosmic book and a great one to start with. I myself started with Bloodshot and Shadowman in 2013.

Bonsoir, Dustin! I think there's a fair number of folks around here (including me) who dropped out of comics once or twice and discovered the new Valiant on the way back in.
