Re: Book of the Month - October 2015
Solid month but with a couple of books not quite living up to the high expectations...
Top of the class:
1) XO #41
2) Ninjak #8
3) Imperium #9
4) Rai #11
5) Bloodshot Reborn #7
Decent reads:
6) BOD Fall of XO Manowar #1
7) Unity #23
Disappointing:
8) Book of Death #4 (low ranking mainly due to the art but story wasnt the best either)
Don't read Timewalker (will pick up cheap down the line). Waiting for reasonably priced LOTG!

+1 - this was an excellent issue & a tremendous end to the LotG mini-series. Would have been my top choice this month as well.agent_graves wrote:BOD:LOTG #4... This was hands down, the Book of the Month!! Instead of ice cream, this book should've been added to the list, from day one

Re: Book of the Month - October 2015
1) Book of Death: The Fall of X-O Manowar - Just worked and played to both Venditti and Henry's strengths.
2) X-O Manowar #41 - It gets real.
3) Book of Death #4 - Very good if oddly paced. Can't help but wonder what FVL or Lemire would have done with this series.
4) Ivar, Timewalker #10 - Madcap fun.
5) Book of Death: Legends of the Geomancer #4 - I never clicked with this series.
6) Bloodshot Reborn #7 - Totally decent read, just not much forward momentum like all of the issues above.
7) Unity #23 - First enjoyable issue of Unity... ever?
8) Ninjak #8 - A monologued flashback about how he's not a bad guy. Very, very done with Kindt's painfully repetitive storytelling approach.
9) Imperium #9 - Bored. Bored. Bored.
10) Rai #11 - Even with the months-long break between arcs, Crain's art looks rushed in spots and NOTHING happens (except for the last page).
