This looks amazing. It seems to hint that they will be bringing in current valiant characters to fight in this rebellion. I hope that if this happens, it happens in a clever unexpected way.
I guess I just dont want Ivar taxing everyone back and fort.

Or we will be seeing the future versions. X-O could be some descendant in the armor. I guess Bloodshot could be the same Bloodshot.Nameless7 wrote:It seems to hint that they will be bringing in current valiant characters to fight in this rebellion.

If I'm understanding the FCBD info correctly, we won't be seeing Divinity 2 or the new A&A series until late spring at the earliest?
If you're not a *SQUEE*, you're okay with me.

It sounds like Rai will be published alongside 4001, so since it sounds like Crain is doing the art for 4001 they must have someone else doing the art for Rai. That'll be interesting. This sounds like it will be a great event and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Re: Valiant Reveals Next Event - 4001 A.D.
A&A comes out the middle of March. I believe Divinity 2 is scheduled for April, but am not 100% sure. The "Exclusive looks inside" are probably just intended to get casual readers to pick up books that are already on the stands.kjjohanson wrote:If I'm understanding the FCBD info correctly, we won't be seeing Divinity 2 or the new A&A series until late spring at the earliest?

Actually, since it looks like Rai #13 won't be shipping until May/June, he might have enough cusion to do both.jeremycoe wrote:It sounds like Rai will be published alongside 4001, so since it sounds like Crain is doing the art for 4001 they must have someone else doing the art for Rai. I wonder what it would be like to be a lonely, muck-encrusted monster? Probably be an improvement.

There are 12 Gold sponsors, chosen by a committee of retailers. I believe their books receive more store penetration than the silver and other sponsors, but it represents that VALIANT is in the mix with the biggest publishers in the industry.FormerReader wrote:What does a gold title mean?BugsySig wrote:4001 AD FCBD issue:

i dont want to read another kindt event. they need to give dysart a second event or give fred van lente an event.
also are they seriously putting crain on an event book? I know he helped with Harbinger Wars but how on earth are they going to ship this on time alongside Rai? It would be a very bad move to take Crain off Rai since Rai is the only title they have published with a constant artist and is known for its distinctive look.

Re: Valiant Reveals Next Event - 4001 A.D.
and wasn't the selling point of Rai that it isnt a book that has tie ins? I remember them marketing it as a book for people who don't know anything about the VEI universe

Looking forward to it, sounds as though it might really expand the 4001 corner of the universe. Remains to be seen if I'm right of course, but in the event that I am it'll be interesting to see exactly how much they expand that corner in 5 issues.

When did Kindt do a VEI event? Harbinger Wars was Dysart, and Venditti did both of the other two. Which one are you thinking of?Brapbrap wrote:i dont want to read another kindt event. they need to give dysart a second event or give fred van lente an event.

Re: Valiant Reveals Next Event - 4001 A.D.
In my opinion, four issues is too short for an 'event' mini of this magnitude. And Kind-T runs 50/50 with me, so I hope he brings his A game.
That said, I like his work on Rai and am eager to see what they have in store.
