JCP wrote:Arcade Brewery followed up with me about the variant #1 comic. There are only 200 to be distributed. They expect all to be doled out. However, and it's a capital H however, if there are any extras they said they'd sell them to me. I only want 1. I'll sell the rest to the board for cost + shipping. Many on this board have helped me track down tough to find books at inexpensive prices. I want to pay it forward. Cheers!
Count me in! Awesome if it works out.

I'd love an opportunity to have one, but insist on paying back in kind. I have lots of interesting things to trade to say thank you, should you get any extras.

I won't turn down an in-kind offer! No one should get their hopes up but we might just be pleasantly surprised!

Just tried to go buy the beer that I had put in my cart a few hours ago and their system popped up with a message that my amount in my cart was no longer available so looks like only two bottles left at the moment. So go grab em' if you want them, price with shipping is a little bit much for me, especially when I only really want one bottle.

I've seen on CBSI that there was no leftover swag at the Valiant A&A party. I haven't heard anything from the Arcade Brewery but it seems like they had at least 200 people attend. If I hear anything I'll let the board know. Some attendees have been listing on eBay their copies for $100 each and they've been selling. Hopefully a busboy will list his copy cheaper.

I haven't seen a copy on eBay yet (either active or sold). Searching "Valiant comics, A&A, Arcade Brewery"...or variations of it. Is my search incorrect?

I bought one under the search query "Archer Armstrong 1" and then set my parameter to display newest listing first. The same guy is selling them since last night. I'm not sure if he's a board member. He's from St. Louis and has so far sold five copies. He lists them one at a time. There's one listed now.

Is that 200 number right, or is that just the number at the release party? Seems like I saw pics of people with that comic at the con earlier in the day.

In any case, somebody grabbed a short stack and is making a mint on eBay right now.

Still hoping the theory that they never do print runs that low holds true and a big old stash of them will pop up here in the next few days. It's rather disappointing to kill my hopes of a complete collection from this kind of promo give away that we basically have no chance at, well I guess we do but $100 is just nuts!

The VEI promo for the event confirmed its only 200 copies. I'm all for capitalism, but this is gouging. People are paying though.

There was a different C2E2 variant given at the convention. It has a neat cover too. It's still possible some the Arcade Brewery #1's leaked out though.

Seven of them so far, all from the same seller.

That seller just made a mortgage payment off of this. I'm disappointed VEI let him have so many copies. If they knew he was gouging board members and legitimate fans, what would they think or do? It's getting too tough to be a completionist.

I'd place them at $40 starting minimum for a vintage full ale. I know I'd Personally pay that for any and all.

I had no trouble ordering a "number" of bottles just now, maybe they got more in?

Not to offend the seller, I can imagine being delusional or greedy on a price point with a highly demanded item at some point, so no harm. But seriously? I thought the $4500 on the Divinity 1:40 was ridiculous, but I don't think he's serious. The $4995.00 axe is also likely a flier that maybe the guy just is hoping someone will bite. But have y'all seen the Archer brewery signed copy raw that states it's a presale of a CGC 9.8 SS for $495? I guess folks have to establish a price point and see what the market is, that seems a little hefty though. Maybe I'm wrong.

...guy appears to have a lot of nice books and a strong rep. I just realized the seller is a guy that posts on this site a lot. Truth is, seems most everyone wants the book, there are just 200 copies give or take more than likely. Signature series on that book could be worth $495 to plenty of folks. Sorry if I was off base.

If 200 is the true number then could this be the rarest Valiant? Dino said there were 350 of Divinity 1 1:40 and that was their lowest print run to date. I don't remember any other book with an announced print run this low.
