What comics are you reading now?

Everything else comic-related that's not VALIANT-related.

I've been behind on a lot of comics-- even Valiant.

I just finished reading:

Armor Hunters Aftermath: I see what all the fuss was about :)

XO#0: Wow. Great art and pacing. Loved it.

Sheltered 11: ah man. Things are about to go down. Love it. Can't wait for 12.

DeadHorse Vol1: decent, there's some issues I had with the pacing, but over all, enjoyed it enough to finish reading it in one sitting. Nice indie web comic that's been around since 2009 apparently. Often compared to Twin Peaks.

Animals Chickens/Pigs: from the same people who made DeadHorse. Really atmospheric... another indie comic feel.

Behind on my pull list but I saw #3 of the new Ms. Marvel was just released for the Marvel Unlimited app, so I read it. It's really funny and cool so far. It had a Bill and Ted reference and everything.

I suppose the main character is an Inhuman at was activated by the terrigen bomb from Infinity.

Funny you should mention that as my kids sign Bone out regularly from their school library as well which I think is great as they read the trades as a way of learning to read English (and no Enguish is not their first language). My son was reading to me the other night (Bone - The Dragonslayer and Rock Jaw). I started getting my kids into comics a few years back and the stuff I bought them home (FCBD etc) wasn't interesting. Then my daughter gets hooked on Archies, Bone, Tintin and now my son. He just read this post over my shoulder and all he could say was that he is "cheapo" and doesn't want to buy them - they are free in the library.

I find it interesting that the trades appeal more to my kids then to me, that they naturally have congregated to them and the schools appear to have picked up on this.

My friend Mike Rooth did a variant cover for that series. I've meant to check it out but haven't yet.

I just got around to reading it last night, really great book - particularly like the energetic gesture & creative design put into all the aliens by Scott. I'll be picking up this series at least through the first story arc to see where it goes.

I did and I remember enjoying it, but I don't remember a damn thing about it now. Not a good sign.
I see you mentioned picking up #2. I liked that issue, and still plan on continuing with the book for now. Really like the character dynamic between the Sheriff & the alien cop. And the blue skinned 'wild' android in this issue was pretty damn cool too.

Recently caught up on reading Lazarus with #10 & #11. Still a tremendously enjoyable sci-fi book. Particularly liked seeing the Hock family & what they've done to New York City. Great stuff.

I've also been picking up Grendel vs The Shadow mini series... Now, I am a big Grendel nut so I'm pleased as all hell to have a new comic out, but I haven't dived into reading this at all yet. I'm not a fan of Dynamite in general, or of The Shadow, and I'm also a little less than enthused about a Grendel crossover into another IP. I thought the Batman/Grendel books were great back in the day, but even still found it odd to do it. I'm sure I'll enjoy this series but I intend to get all three issues & read them in one go.

I'd really love to see some new tales set in the Grendel-verse proper... particularly ones about someone else rather than Hunter Rose. Just to bring this post full-circle, I happen to really like the illustrated novel Grendel: Past Prime, written by Greg Rucka.

I had a chance to read The Extinction Parade and Uber from Avatar Comics. Really enjoyed both!

I liked the idea of the vampires in EP realizing that they need humans for way more than just their blood, and that giving them the impetus to join the fight against the zombies.

Been awhile since I did. Got started on it, then got sidetracked a few weeks back. About 1/2 way through it now.

Well being a huge gamer I gravitate towards anything video game related and when they do comics that explore or expand game lore I'm all over them. Best example:

Assassins Creed: The Fall, The Chain, and Brahrain

The Fall and Chain are connected with the main characters and plot while Brahrain is a nice little detour into another corner. If anyone wants I can break it down into some more detail

Been catching up on comics I missed over the past 8 years.

Darkwing Duck from Boom-Read the first 2 storylines so far. Damn this is a great comic.

The Extinction Parade-Never heard of this. But my GF found the first trade racked with the kids books at Walmart. And bought it for me as an early Halloween present. So far it is really good.

Prime-Read the first year of this when it came out. Recently got every issue and started reading it again. The art holds up really well. But the writing and dialogue is kind of bad.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina #1 - fantastic debut issue. in my world one of the most intriguing comics of the year and something which promises to be a far better book than "afterlife with archie". 9/10

I read my stack of comics in alphabetical order (thanks to Comixology), but on rare occasions I will break the rules and go straight to my most anticipated reads, which are generally valiant titles and select Image books. Just started reading (1-3)

Epic for sure. Not as good as Planetary, but very very good.
Over the past 5 weeks I have read every Authority series. Outside of the Grant Morrison/Keith Giffen run, which is so bad they pretty much ignored it in the next series,it was great.

I have even went back and started reading Stormwatch to see how it all started.

As for Bone and school kids reading it. My cousin's son saw some of my color bone trades 4 years ago. He read one and was hooked. So as a X-mas present I got him the Bone all in one trade. He read it all in one weekend and loved it.

Months later he is telling me how it is on his school's AR list. And most of the kids read it because it is an easy read and worth lots of points.

I have no clue how AR works. But anything that gets kids to read good comics I like.

The same cousin now goes to the comic shop once a month. And is itching to read Watchmen and my Preacher trades. His mother said he can't read either until he turns 14.

As for what I am reading now.

Darkwing Duck from Boom-Just finished up this series. Sucks it got canned, but the 18 issues and 1 annual are really good.

Scalped-Read the first 7 trades over the past 2 weeks. With only two trades to go this ranks as my 3rd favorite Vertigo series. With only Preacher and Animal Man ranking above it. I hope the rumored TV show on WGN America happens.

In this case, treat me like a person new to computers: what program is that? Where do I find this function?

I honestly don't know.

The most common spreadsheet programs are Excel or open office calc. Or you can use Google drive online - go to drive.Google.com and create a new "sheets" document.
Paste the list into the document. Click the column header there should be an option to sort alphabetically.
