Either one is good ... I guess we have to get closer for the schedule but Friday night sounds good so long as wrunow is around.

Trying to come up with ideas for a VFSDCCSH (scavenger hunt):

Get a dollar bill signed by Dino, Fred or Warren: 3 points
Signed by all three: 10 points
Bonus point if dollar bill is crisp: 1 point.
Get a picture with Levar Burton: 10 points
Get a picture with a guy who kind of looks like Levar Burton: 3 points
Point at a strangers chest (do not poke, that is assault if you are not Levar Burton) and shout: "Get it together!" 3 points (must be witnessed)
Take a picture of a Valiant book on a dealer wall: 2 points
Take a picture of a Valiant book in a bin: 2 points
Take a picture of someone wearing Valiant gear: 2 points
Take a picture WITH someone cosplaying as a Valiant character: 5 points

Any other ideas? Anybody in for this stupidity? I can throw together a really nice prize package but we'd need a few people to play.

Planning on doing a beach day while there ... last year we went to La Jolla Shores. A lot of pasty rich kids wearing wetsuits there. What's a cool beach that's a little closer?

Mission Beach or Pacific Beach (PB) would probably suit you. You could even walk from one to the other down the boardwalk since they're basically different ends of the same stretch of beach. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Ocean Beach (OB) is south of that but its separated from Mission Beach by water so you'd have to drive around to that one. The only reason to go to OB would be if you like to hang out with filthy stinking hippies and homeless people. Or if you are looking to score some drugs.

Check out Black's Beach if you want to see naked old people sunning their as ses.

I love this kind of silly crap, it makes the event for me!

- Take a picture with someone that ISNT cosplaying as a Valiant Character, but could easily be mistaken for a Valiant Character. 5 points
- Take a picture of any (Valiant) Nintendo comic book for sale at any booth. 5 points
- Never been to SDCC, but if they give away pins, find a pin that could possibly be mistaken for a Valiant pin. 3 points
- Pose/take pic with someone doing Security, tell them they have an excellent Punisher outfit. 2 points
- Find an intimidating Security Guard, one who is bigger/stronger looking than you, and could actually play the character, take pic, extra 3 points
- Find a random person wearing a simple Batman/Superman/any other superhero T-shirt from any other Universe, talk them into wearing a Valiant shirt (Before and after pic a MUST! Do not have to give them the shirt). 5 points
- Talk said random person into visiting the Valiant booth. 5 points Must show pic of said random person talking with a Valiant member

- Pay for TheeBaldMoose to fly down and join the poker tournament. Pick up from airport, and drop back off. let him crash on your couch. 1 miiiiiiilllllllion points!

Probably a leopard shark. They show up in La Jolla every Spring (I think?) and draw a big crowd.

It's a great film with two very big actors who had never shared the silver screen together before his film. Funny bit of trivia is the fire and retreat scene from the heist with Val Kilmer in the back of the truck was so accurate that it is used as training footage for some military and police personnel, as how to appropriately reload, cover, and return fire.
