BOD: The Fall of Ninjak (alternate fan ending)
LONG before 4001 A.D. was released, we read Book of Death and the one-shot “The Fall of _____” books. After reading BOD, The Fall of Ninjak, I though about other ways that story could have ended to tie the past together with the future.
At the time, we did not yet know about all the different Rai (Aboto, Sai, etc) so I had this wild idea about Ninjak leaving earth to prevent New Japan from entering orbit, and encountering a very “different” ending.
So I contacted Artist and comic creator Vivek Goel to develop a fan fiction alternate ending based on my ideas, and while much time has obviously passed since (and a lot has changed) it is finally here to be shared.
Pls enjoy.

Re: BOD: The Fall of Ninjak (alternate fan ending)
The idea was that rather than Ninjak dying in space with Gin Gr after leaving earth and assaulting New Japan, which occurred in the original Fall of Ninjak story, that in this alternate fan ending, Ninjak actually made onto New Japan and ALMOST completes his intended final mission.
By 4001 A.D., New Japan had long since devastated the earth and centuries of Rai protection was already underway. So, we all knew that Ninjak was destine to fail in his attempt at stopping New Japan from ascending into orbit. This was always going to happen.
However, since (at the time) we knew little of the origin of Rai, or exactly how old he was, I thought that it would be an incredible story concept if at the end of Ninjak's long life, that the greatest hero and champion of humanity were to battle his way through New Japan's defenses and security teams to the heart of New Japan and to (an early version) of Father.
Ninjak would use everything he had learned in his long life, employing his skills and tactics with speed, surprise, and violence of action to save the lives of billions still on earth. Upon arriving at Father's mainframe, Ninjak would (with no hope of escape) sacrifice himself to defeat Father and stop New Japan.
However, in those last moments, Ninjak would encounter a warrior beyond his imagination and abilities. He would encounter Rai, who true to purpose and design, defended Father and New Japan. Ninjak and Rai would clash swords, and the battle would be fast, furious, and brutal.
The story ends with Rai victorious, having successfully protected Father and New Japan.
It would be more than 1,000 years before Rai would understand that Ninjak, the human warrior that he defeated and killed so many years ago, would live on through the Spylockes over the centuries, and of the importance of Ninjak's final mission; a mission that Rai himself was responsible for stopping; and a mission that one day Rai would finish...

Or something like that.
I'm not much of a writer really. But it made sense to me at the time.
