CGC sale on reslabbing of competitors slabs

CGC is offering 50% to reslab books encapsulated by competitors. Anyone have further info on this?

Doesn't look like it makes sense for modern books. Minimum cost is $32.50 for a Standard level CGC crossover.

I'm just glad it was pretty good, long and drawn out. (that's what she said.)

Maybe they mean half of the 32.50 fee since normal standard is 37$? :?

I received an email from CGC on this and my immediate reaction was that of Greg’s. That and what about SS? I also have found in the CBCS slabs I own, that the grading does not comport to CGCs higher standards and consistency. I have had a few CBCS 9.8s that look like 9.2 or 9.4 at best. Therefore, I’m pretty concerned that my grading might go down with CGC.

Interesting. I’ve not heard a knock on CBCS’ grading standards before. I’m not on the CGC boards though.
