This was excellent. maybe a little slow pacing on the set up but there was a lot to set up and I was interested the whole way so can't complain. Can't wait to see how the rest of this arc goes.

9/10

I am consistently disappointed in Guedes' work, but the rest of this comic was A+. It's an uphill battle for me to care about a magic superhero, but this series officially has it's hooks in me.

I’ll echo what’s been said. This title has been excellent! This has become my favorite VEI title.

Another very solid outing from this title. Really like the links to continuity while building the character up in a fresh, new direction. All round excellent.

Hoping this becomes a long running series. :thumb:

Little slow going, but a solid entry and good to see this series back on track. Overall, I think this is one of the better Shadowman series ever put out and one of the gems in the Valiant library currently for the books being printed.

Ditto. This is the Shadowman I've been waiting for. And the art is off the hook!

I would have liked to see an attempt at reconstructing the Abbettors group though - looks like they’re really pretty much wiped out. I’d like to see Alyssa become the founder of a new establishment of assistants/aids to Shadowman.

Really, I’m sure he could use the help of a small network of people into the mystic arts to help him with whatever comes along in the future. Preferably not quite so stuffy or full of themselves as the senior Abettors circle had become though.
