I haven’t been on the show in quite a while, but I’m proud of everyone involved for keeping it going strong to this epic number! :clap:

Aaaaaand it’s back to business as usual - if anyone would like to hear our OTV:VCR podcast discussing/reviewing this issue [& Bloodshot: Rising Spirit #5], please follow the link;

It was an ok issue with ok art. Given how few books we’re dealing with at the moment I’m not sure we can accept another mediocre book? :? The concept for the book is fine enough but maybe it’s the delivery and dialogue which feels a bit clunky here and there. I liked the attempt of bringing in other continuity by the appearance of Gilad.

A slight concern is the occasional decision to hire creators who seem to have a political agenda in mind and use the books to further that agenda. Having gay characters is not an issue for me but this seems politically motivated rather than being organic. Maybe being so close to Kindt’s decision that Capshaw is also gay makes it all feel a bit ‘flavour of the month’.

All that said, it’s perfectly readable, though not essential.

3.5/5
