So, the (1,000?) Golds will be released slowly at various locations to various people over an unknown amount of time. Many will be graded, others will be placed in a longbox and forgotten, and others will remain raw in a collection somewhere for years to come.

Some golds will be damaged, which can lead to owners seeking out 2nd, 3rd, 4th personal copies (I’ve got like 8 Harbinger #1 Golds, etc).

Also, there a WAAAAY more Valiant Gold collectors than Valiant Glass Collectors. I promise that there are collectors right now who want this book simply because it is a new Gold, and therefore a hole in their Gold collection.

ALL Glass variants will all be released NOW, and will go directly into the market NOW. The owners, pretty much own a copy because they wanted to own a copy and took deliberate actions to do so.

Yep, I used to have Gold Fever. :cloud9: It is a great way to collect Valiant because you can eventually fill all the holes. Not cheap, but it is possible to do. Some would say that I gave them Gold Fever. :hm:

We all read about the delay with some of these L&DofTH books because of more last minute orders. Did this actually have a larger than average print run for a #1? Or, has the downward trend continued?

So, what are your predictions for the # of issues printed for retail for this book (issue #1)?

This will be the best released Valiant title of the year, regardless of whatever Bloodshot:Rising Dumpster Fire numbers state, and will probably stay that way. There are so many people out there that don't buy other Valiant books, that will come back for multiples of this book. So many fans are buying multiple #1's, every #1, I bet we get close to 60,000 total sales. I know we speculate that X-O got over 100K, once you factor in the pre-order numbers, but we don't have a solid REAL figure. That could be the killer there to my figure. We simply won't know the pre-order numbers.

Maybe just shy of 50K reported sold? Another 10K in pre-orders, maybe less?

Yup this is me. I will attempt to get it (plus bloodshot and livewire) in gold CGC 9.8 as I have all the other gold books (except Harbinger Renegade and Deathmate Epilogue) in 9.8.

I enjoy the gold books, especially from VEI because as you look back over them you pretty much have a nice collection of all the important number 1’s valiant released. However I wish they did not do them for miniseries like they did for Faith and now LaDoTH, although I guess very few series last beyond 12 issues now.

This may be the toughest one to find as a 9.8 candidate. Only 250 produced, and is awarded when someone’s hooded the deluxe entry into the Twin City Comic Con put on by Ssalefish.

My only hope, they keep back a handful of candidates for online sales

Has a checklist like this been complied for Bloodshot Rising Spirit 1, Livewire 1 or Punk Mumbo 1?

Why don’t you talk with Ed Greenberg, or (honestly) anyone on this forum to coordinate getting this book and/or series?

There must be 50 people who can help. Hell, at least half of my copies came from board members!

Do not let you local comic shops stop you from a great story. It’s 2019, and the WORLD is you LCS! :thumb:

To piggy back on this, Adam Freeman has been working on something that will locate comics for you. Now, it only works with those comic book stores that work with him and his team, but it does locate books. Take a look at comichub.com and give it a try. It'll take a little digging, as when I tried searching for Life and Death.... it said there were none, but when I dug a little deeper, I had no problem finding a handful of shops that participate, and have a bunch of them.

I freaked out for a second when I saw this post pop up showing 17 variants for #1. I thought I was just missing the gold! Thankfully, I realized there was no #4 before losing my mind :thumb:

I wasn't expecting to see either Twin City or Ssalefish in this thread. I'm from there, Greensboro NC
I've been looking everywhere for the ultra-rare Turok vs Blister issue. Anybody able to help me out?
